This was a serious error by George Soros.
He might have done irreparable harm to his cause.
And his global plans could be ruined after this mistake.
Nepotism is a fairly common thing in society, but it can be dangerous to an organization or business when they aren’t hiring people who are best for the job.
George Soros surely believed that his son Alex would be the best person to succeed him in managing his organizations, but now Alex Soros is finding himself embroiled in major controversy.
Soros is being criticized for his “indifference to public opinion,” which has led to major PR hits not only for the Soros family but for the liberal politicians they support.
According to Fox News, “A recent profile piece on Alex Soros, the heir to the vast liberal mega donor George Soros’ progressive fundraising network, suggested the younger Soros has hurt the family brand with his public profile in recent years.”
“The article, posted by New York Magazine this week, takes place in Alex Soros’ luxury penthouse in Manhattan and characterizes the home as an example of his indifference to public opinion, which the story suggests hasn’t been beneficial to the family’s Open Society Foundations.”
This caused problems for major Democrat candidates, including Vice President nominee Tim Walz.
The New York Magazine article reports, “This past fall, he held a fundraiser at the apartment for vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz, then created a PR headache by posting photos from the event on social media, as is his custom after meeting heads of state and elected officials.”
“It was deemed unhelpful to a presidential ticket straining to underscore its regularness that the son of the 94-year-old hedge-fund billionaire accused of puppeteering the Democratic Party was publicly advertising his centrality to the election effort from a New York City penthouse.”
There’s no way to know if this contributed to Walz and Kamala Harris’s loss in the election, but it certainly didn’t help.
It contradicted the message that Walz was just a regular guy who wanted to do what was best for America and wasn’t beholden to any powerful special interest groups.
