It’s official, Nancy Pelosi’s political career is finally over.
But while Pelosi is leaving her leadership post, her successor isn’t going to be any better.
And now, the favorite to replace Pelosi just revealed himself as the most radical Democrat in history.
Nancy Pelosi has officially announced her retirement as head of the Democratic caucus in the House of Representatives.
After being in power for roughly two decades, and serving as Speaker of the House of Representatives twice, Pelosi has left her mark on the Democratic Party as one of the most radical Left-wing politicians to ever hold the Speaker’s gavel.
But now that Pelosi is finally exiting the political stage, Americans are finally getting to know the man who is most favored to replace her as the head of the Democrats in Congress, and he is even more radical than Pelosi herself was.
Yahoo reports, “U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision to step down from her leadership role after her fellow Democrats lost their majority in last week’s midterm elections positions Hakeem Jeffries – a liberal congressman from New York – as a likely top contender to lead the party for the next two years.”
Jeffries makes Nancy Pelosi look like a moderate centrist by comparison.
And despite his relatively low profile, the entire country is likely to learn his name in the near future should he end up winning the leadership vote to succeed Pelosi in power.
While Jeffries will be serving in the minority for the next two years, he’s already working to try and build a coalition of Left-wing socialists to retake power in Washington, D.C. in the 2024 elections.
And a Speaker Hakeem Jeffries would easily be the most radical Speaker in American history.
“Jeffries, who has held the leadership post of House Democratic Caucus chairman since 2019, also would represent a stylistic contrast to Pelosi, who made her announcement on Thursday,” adds Yahoo.
For starters, Jeffries has already revealed how radical he is by being a member of the House Progressive Caucus, which serves as the socialist wing of the Democratic Party in Congress.
But Jeffries doesn’t just hold ultra-Left wing positions on economic issues, he has already been an outspoken liberal on cultural fights ranging from woke gender ideology in public schools to backing radical gun grabbing proposals.
What’s more, Joe Biden once considered Jeffries for his Vice Presidential running mate position before ultimately deciding to go with Kamala Harris.
All of this puts Jeffries just as far to the Left as Pelosi, and he’s currently on track to govern even further to the Left of Pelosi should he end up securing the position as House Democratic leader.
Worse yet, the race is already “Jeffries’ to lose” according to one Congressional Democrat, who revealed that there is very little competition standing in his way.
Should Jeffries win the position Nancy Pelosi is currently vacating, there is a very good chance that he will end up being just as unpopular as she was for the last 20 years, if not more.
