The left foolishly thought Tucker Carlson was done.
They assumed he was finished after being pulled off the air by Fox News.
But Carlson is planning one move and it’s got Democrats freaking out.
Democrats and establishment Republicans thought Tucker Carlson would fade away without Fox News, but the opposite has happened.
Carlson moved his show to Twitter and his monologues have been racking up tens of millions of views.
Now Carlson is planning to build his own media company.
Many have speculated he’d make such a move and there appears to be official movement on that front.
The Wall Street Journal reports: “Tucker Carlson and former White House adviser Neil Patel are seeking to raise funds to start a new media company that would potentially use Twitter as its backbone, according to people familiar with the matter. The new company would be anchored by longer versions of the free videos that Carlson has been posting regularly on Twitter since shortly after his departure from Fox News, but would ultimately be driven by subscriptions, some of the people said.”
The Journal added that Carlson and Patel are seeking to raise hundreds of millions of dollars for the endeavor.
Carlson and Patel, roommates at Trinity College, already started the news website The Daily Caller in 2010.
If Carlson launches his own platform, it will only accelerate the decline of Fox News.
Fox News has still not given a reason as to why Carlson was taken off the air. Some have speculated it was a condition of the Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit settlement, which is odd since Carlson called out the wild claims of Sidney Powell immediately.
Others have claimed Rupert Murdoch pulled the plug on Carlson because of his pro-Christian speech at the Heritage Foundation hours after (what ended up being) his final Fox News broadcast.
One source told Vanity Fair, “That stuff freaks Rupert out. He doesn’t like all the spiritual talk.”
Whatever the true reason might be, it remains a mystery to the general public.
And technically, Carlson is not even fired – Fox News wants to hold onto him through the 2024 election cycle when his contract ends in January 2025.
Thus far, the ploy has not worked.
Carlson continues to speak his mind on Twitter, and the move has only further tarnished Fox News’s brand.
Wells Fargo’s investment analyst downgraded Fox News’s stock due to decreased ratings.
Soon after his ouster from Fox News, Carlson said in a video message, “Starting soon, we’ll be bringing a new version of the show we’ve been doing for the last six and a half years to Twitter…We’ll be bringing some other things too, which we’ll tell you about. But for now, we’re just grateful to be here. Free speech is the main right that you have, without it, you have no others. See you soon.”
It looks like the new media venture could be Carlson’s new project.
Meanwhile, Democrats and RINOs continue lying to themselves if they think Carlson is done.
