Democrats may want to reconsider letting Joe Biden stay on as president until January.
He committed a terrible act without telling any of them.
And now they are panicking as they realize the consequences of what he did.
Joe Biden may have dropped out of the presidential race but he’s still President of the United States.
And he is very angry at Democrat leaders for the pressure campaign they launched to remove him from the 2024 presidential ticket.
Now he’s going rogue and doing some very radical things without telling anyone what he’s up to.
The most recent one is an attack on the Supreme Court that would “term limit” conservative justices to remove them from the bench.
Biden announced this new plan, but apparently didn’t inform any of the top Democrat leaders in Congress who’d be responsible for pushing through this plan.
Now those Congressional leaders are panicking as they realize the full extent of what Biden did without telling them.
According to Axios, “The White House didn’t consult Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Dick Durbin and other key congressional Democrats on President Biden’s proposals to dramatically overhaul the Supreme Court, Axios has learned.”
“The White House didn’t reach out to coordinate with Durbin (D-Ill.) or his committee about Biden’s proposals before Monday’s announcement, a source familiar with the matter told Axios.”
“One senior House Judiciary Committee member told Axios they had “no knowledge” of Biden’s plans — which include calling for 18-year term limits and a new code of ethics for justices — ahead of time.”
It’s clear Biden’s bitterness towards Democrats in Congress is causing him to go rogue.
The article continues, “The lack of coordination with Capitol Hill signals that Biden’s SCOTUS proposals amount to more of a pre-election messaging push than a legislative imperative.”
“The omission is especially notable because the judiciary panel has spearheaded congressional efforts to overhaul how the court operates following recent ethics scandals.”
Joe Biden has a few months left in office, and Democrats are getting nervous about what else he might do without telling them beforehand.
They know they’ll have to answer for all of these things in their elections if they can’t control what Biden does.
If they end up losing their seats in Congress, they are not going to be happy.
There is tension building within the Democratic Party after Biden’s unprecedented decision to drop out, and the anxiety is building within the caucus.
