The Kamala Harris campaign has a serious problem emerging.
They are getting buried by a scandal that could sink the entire ship.
And things are quickly getting worse as her entire campaign is in jeopardy.
Kamala Harris may have picked the wrong horse as her running mate, as Tim Walz is getting ravaged by a scandal surrounding his military service.
No one wants their campaign to be ruined by their VP selection, but it does happen from time to time, and it seems that Tim Walz is one of the worst choices in recent memory.
He’s claimed numerous times to have fought in war, but the record is very clear. He never fought in war, and in fact he directly dodged being deployed into combat.
The fact that he is making these claims is dishonorable and is not going to sit well with American voters at all.
Most people have great respect for the military, and they don’t like people who try to claim heroism that they didn’t earn.
Tim Walz’s scandal is threatening to sink Kamala Harris’s campaign, and Democrats should be getting very worried.
According to Breitbart, “Embattled Democrat vice presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz (MN) voted ‘Yea’ on the federal Stolen Valor Act of 2013 during his time as a U.S. congressman.”
“The vote seems ironic because Walz has been facing accusations of stolen valor, especially after a video surfaced Wednesday of him misrepresenting his military career by falsely claiming he served in war.”
This is one of the most damaging things a politician can be accused of, and Walz is going to have a lot to answer for as he tries to become the next Vice President.
Voters are going to be very concerned about the fact that he seems to be lying about his service record, when the truth is that he did everything he could to avoid combat.
The article continues, “Shortly after Democrat presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris chose Walz as her running mate, accusations arose that Walz had been dishonest about his military record.”
“Neither Walz nor Harris has addressed the accusations brought Wednesday. Harris has not held a press conference for 18 days since becoming the party’s de facto nominee.”
If Kamala Harris wants to do what is right by the men and women who have served America in combat and risked their lives, she may want to consider removing Walz from the ticket.
This scandal is not going to go away, and there isn’t much Walz can say to fix the damage that he has already done. No explanation is going to suffice.
It’s clear that Harris’s team did not vet Walz fully enough, and some have suggested they picked him because they were worried about the backlash from Hamas supporters if they picked Josh Shapiro, who is Jewish.
If that is true, and his selection was a sudden move in a state of panic, then it’s a clear example of why VP candidates need to be carefully vetted before they sink a campaign.
