It’s official, Blue State America is losing millions of people.
After years of disastrous policies that have shut down schools and businesses, Americans are voting with their feet in record numbers.
And the results have utterly discredited the Left’s narrative like never before.
The last two years has seen a massive demographic shift that the mainstream media has barely covered at all.
And it’s no surprise, because the results of this shift illustrate that millions of Americans are voting with their feet, opting to flee Blue State America in droves for greener pastures, largely in Red States situated in the Sun Belt, stretching from Texas to Florida.
But while a simple demographic shift may not be a massive story, the roots behind this mass exodus are purely political, and it shows that millions of people do not want to live in states dominated by Left-wing politics any longer.
“Americans are voting with their feet and the results are in: red states are winning. An incredible 46 million people moved to a new ZIP code over the year to February 2022, the highest annual total since Equifax, a credit agency, began tracking moves in 2010. Republican-leaning red states gained the most residents — led by Florida, Texas, and North Carolina — while the blue states of California, New York, and Illinois were the biggest migratory losers. The most popular pandemic-era moves were from New York to Florida and California to Texas — so much so that U-Haul ran out of moving trucks leaving California last year,” writes The Spectator World.
In fact, California has lost so many people that the state shrank by an entire Congressional district during the 2020 census, marking the first time in history that the state lost representation in Congress.
But the flight from California has only accelerated since then.
And now, other Blue States like New York and Illinois are joining in, losing hundreds of thousands of residents in just the last two years.
“Given the chance to flee high-cost cities, Millennials did so in droves. Superstar metros like New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago were the hardest hit by pandemic-era outmigration, according to Moody’s, and Americans ages 25 to 34 years old made up the largest share of movers. And where did they go? As the pandemic wore on, they migrated to lower-cost, fast-growing hubs with a high quality of life, such as Atlanta, Dallas, and Phoenix,” adds The Spectator World.
The titanic shift going on across the country is a direct consequence of lockdown policies, massive taxes, a high cost of living, a housing bubble that has priced most millennials out of the housing market altogether, and soaring crime rates driven by strict gun control policies combined with soft-on-crime approaches that has seen Blue States letting convicted rapists and murderers out of prison.
In short, the quality of life in many Blue States has collapsed over the last two years, and millions of people are now recognizing the failures of Left-wing dominated places for what they are.
The only question now is whether or not these Blue State ex-pats will vote for the same politicians that ruined the places they are currently fleeing from.
