Everyone thought Taylor Swift was completely untouchable.
But they were wrong.
Swift learned the hard way that endorsing Kamala Harris would have consequences.
Taylor Swift may be the biggest popstar in the world, but part of how she’s gotten there is by being non-controversial.
Unlike many other pop stars, her shows are filled with people from all walks of life, both conservative and liberal.
But now that she’s thrown herself headfirst into politics and come out strongly in favor of a radically left-wing worldview, her appeal is changing.
Many of her conservative fans aren’t going to buy tickets now. And a new poll shows that her popularity has tanked in the wake of her shocking endorsement of Kamala Harris.
According to Breitbart, “A new poll shows that Taylor Swift’s popularity has dropped overall among voters following her endorsement of Kamala Harris this month.”
“Taylor Swift’s overall favorability among all registered voters fell from last year, decreasing from 40 percent in 2023 to 33 percent this year, according to an NBC News poll released Friday. While 16 percent had negative feelings about her in 2023, 27 percent say they do now.”
One of the most popular people in America is now barely above water.
She went from a 40-16 approval rating to a 33-27.
This is a shocking fall from grace for someone who, like many young women in her age demographic, has been fed lies about politics for years and has wholeheartedly believed them.
The article continues, “The NBC News poll is the latest survey to show that Swift’s endorsement hasn’t had the impact Democrats were hoping for.”
“A recent ABC News/Ipsos poll showed the vast majority of voters (81 percent) don’t care about Swift’s political views. A separate YouGov poll also found that the majority of voters aren’t swayed by her endorsement.”
“The new NBC News poll, released Friday, showed that Republican voters have the most unfavorable opinions of Swift.”
Swift may look at these numbers and dismiss them, saying she didn’t want their support anyway, but she may regret that.
After all, if she thought that the stadiums full of adoring fans that she has had on her tour have been monolithically filled with liberals, she is wrong. Many of those people were conservatives.
