Progressive Democrats are disappointed in Stacey Abrams.
They were committed to electing her governor so she could push their Left-wing agenda.
But she was just exposed for wasting their money in the most ridiculous way possible.
Out of all the Democrat “rising stars,” none have fallen on their face as badly as Stacey Abrams, the two-time candidate for Governor of Georgia.
Abrams was praised as a possible future presidential candidate on the Democrat side, even though she had never held office higher than State Rep and hadn’t accomplished anything in her career.
After she lost to Gov. Brian Kemp in Georgia the first time around, many Democrats denied the election and claimed that she had actually won.
This is a dangerous game that both parties have played in recent years. It allows them to ignore what the voters want and whine instead about being “cheated” after a tough loss.
Since the Democrats refused to admit that the voters rejected Abrams in 2018, they decided to go ahead and nominate her again anyway.
And unsurprisingly, the voters of Georgia, who had already spoken in 2018 and said they didn’t want her to be governor, once again made it clear that they do not want Stacey Abrams to be their governor.
This time it wasn’t even close. Abrams lost by almost 8%, far too big of a gap for Democrats to claim that they were “cheated,” or the election was “rigged.”
And now that the election is over, the truth about Abrams’ campaign is coming out, and it is ugly.
According to a report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Abrams wasted huge amounts of campaign money, which was given to her by donors, on ridiculous things like TikTok.
The article says, “Several staffers said the campaign rented a home near Piedmont Park to be a ‘hype house’ for TikTok videos that wound up largely neglected. Some aides commandeered the vacant five-bedroom craftsman-style house, now available to rent at $12,500 a month, as a makeshift office.”
Clearly Abrams thought of her campaign more as a reality show than an actual serious political campaign. Why on earth would any candidate spend that much money on a “hype house?” This is an election for governor of Georgia, not an episode of Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club.
The article lays out even more of the excesses.
“A pop-up shop and ‘swag truck’ were assigned to dispense merchandise, such as T-shirts and hoodies, to win over young voters. But staffers grumbled that there was no apparent strategy behind the giveaways, which they said seemed careless and costly.”
Abrams was obviously more interested in trying to be a celebrity than actually being governor of Georgia. This should have been obvious after her ridiculous appearance on Star Trek.
Perhaps it’s for the better that she wasted so much money on such ridiculous things. After all, Stacey Abrams is a radical leftist who would have been a horrible governor.
In any case, Democrats seem to have finally thrown in the towel on Stacey Abrams.
