But they were shocked when Ron DeSantis’ candidates swept them out of power.
The key to fixing the education system and stopping Critical Race Theory is by winning elections at the local level and controlling school boards.
The Left has understood that for years, but the right is finally figuring that out.
Ron DeSantis, who has been staking his claim as the national leader of the conservative movement, went out on a limb and endorsed dozens of conservative candidates for school boards across America.
It was a major risk for him. If those candidates had lost, it would have looked bad.

And sure enough, DeSantis’ endorsements worked. His widespread popularity carried 25 of the 30 candidates to victory – over an 80% winning percentage.
This massive success rate came in spite of the Democrats pouring huge money into these races.
They didn’t want to let their death-grip over the education system slip away so easily.
But in the end, there was nothing they could do. Ron DeSantis wrecked them.
According to ABC News, “Most of the Florida school board candidates backed by Gov. Ron DeSantis won their elections on Tuesday – an indication that the ascendant Republican’s conservative stance on education is moving the needle with some parents across the state.”
“DeSantis at his election night rally on Tuesday night declared victories for his endorsees, of which 25 out of 30 won or are likely to win their races.”
“He again lauded that success on Wednesday at a rally in Seminole County, casting the races in the culture-war language that has become his signature.”
“’We were able to take school boards that had leftist majorities…people that wanted to mask your kids, people that wanted to indoctrinate your kids. We were able to replace them all across the state,’ DeSantis argued at another stop on his ‘Keep America Free’ tour. ‘We were able to replace union-backed candidates with conservatives.’”
This is a historic victory that will put the Left on their heels nationwide. DeSantis has laid out a roadmap to taking back the education system from the Left, and it is one that conservatives can emulate in states all across America.
The education system is the root of the “woke” virus that has spread throughout America. For a long time it was confined to classrooms and college campuses.
But in recent years, it has bled out from those institutions into the broader society, as “woke” students graduated and went out into the workforce, bringing their toxic ideas with them.
The only way to fix this problem is to take back the education system.
And in a historic series of victories all across Florida, Ron DeSantis showed that it can be done – and that he is the man to do it.
