Democrats have no clue how to defeat Ron DeSantis.
He knocked them senseless on Election Night with a historic 20-point victory.
But what he did after his big victory was something they never saw coming.
The big winner of the 2022 Election was Florida Gov., and likely future GOP presidential candidate, Ron DeSantis.
He took a state that used to be a swing state, Florida, and turned it bright red. He ran against a former governor and defeated him by 20 points in the most shocking result of the entire Election Night.
He did this on a night when Donald Trump’s hand-picked candidates, most notably Dr. Oz who Trump dragged to a primary victory over a more mainstream GOP candidate, lost badly.
It was the biggest night of Ron DeSantis’s life. And one would have forgiven him if he took a few days to celebrate with his wife and kids after such a monumental landslide victory.
But that’s not what he did. With a hurricane bearing down on the state of Florida, DeSantis knew that he wouldn’t have an opportunity to relax and celebrate. He had to get right back to work.
And according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal, “DeSantis and high-ranking officials, such as Florida Division of Emergency Management Director Kevin Guthrie, visited neighboring homes and spoke to residents who lived in the neighborhood Friday afternoon as they assessed damage left by the storm.”
Residents were thrilled to see DeSantis out helping his community so soon after a historic electoral victory.
The article highlighted one woman who was shocked and delighted to see him outside of her house as she recovered from the storm.
“Nina Lavigna was picking up her photographs and personal items that reminded her of her loved ones at her home at Wilbur-by-the-Sea when Florida’s Gov. Ron DeSantis strolled past her front lawn Friday afternoon as he and top Florida officials toured homes that were devastated by Tropical Storm Nicole,” the article said.
And while DeSantis brushed off the liberal media as they tried to badger him with negative questions, he made sure to talk to his constituents and give them hope through this difficult time.
The article continued, “DeSantis did not stop to address the media, but he did exchange a few words of encouragement with Lavigna as his motorcade drove away from the community, telling her that plans are in motion to respond and help renourish beaches.”
This is what real leadership looks like, and it’s something the U.S. has been sorely lacking.
Politicians spend all of their time trying to look out for their own personal interests, and don’t give any time or effort to selflessly serving their constituents and their communities.
The fact that DeSantis spent the week after Election Day helping people recover from a devastating storm, instead of celebrating his victory and promoting himself, shows how good of a leader he would be at the national level.
And Joe Biden is panicking at the thought of having to face him in 2024.
