Joe Biden’s presidency is collapsing.
And after a botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, things are going from bad to worse.
Now, Rand Paul just grilled this top Biden advisor with one explosive question no one saw coming.
Things just went from bad, to worse for Joe Biden.
Less than a month after his disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan in August, Biden is now facing a collapsing approval rating from across the board as it becomes clear that he left Americans stranded behind in Afghanistan despite a promise to evacuate all US citizens.
Now, Biden’s administration is under attack for a US drone strike that may have killed an American-aligned international aid worker in Afghanistan.
The New York Post reports, “Sen. Rand Paul grilled Secretary of State Antony Blinken over whether the US actually knows whether a drone strike in Afghanistan killed an ISIS-K terrorist or an aid worker — adding, “You’d think you’d kind of know before you off someone,” after Blinken failed to provide a straight answer.”
The exchange comes at a time when Biden’s team desperately tries to shift the subject to just about anything that isn’t Afghanistan.
The drone strike was intended to kill a member of ISIS-K. Instead, the strike apparently killed Zemari Ahmadi, an aid worker who helped to feed hungry Afghans through the California-based charity group Nutrition and Education International.
Nine members of Ahmadi’s family were killed, including children as young as 12.
The New York Post adds, “The secretary of state told the hearing that the identity of the person was still being reviewed.
“So you don’t know or won’t tell us?” Paul asked Biden’s top diplomat. “I don’t, I don’t know, because we’re reviewing it,” Blinken responded.
Paul slammed the response from Blinken.
“You think you’d kind of know before you off somebody with a Predator drone whether he’s an aid worker or he’s ISIS-K.”
“And the thing is there is blowback to that. I mean I don’t know if it’s true, but I see these pictures of these beautiful children that were killed in the attack. If that’s true, and not propaganda, if that’s true, guess what: Maybe you’re created hundreds or thousands of new potential terrorists from bombing the wrong people,” Paul said.
“So you got to know. You can’t have an investigation after we kill people, we have an investigation before we kill people.”
Blinken had no response.
The fact that Joe Biden’s national security team didn’t know whether or not they were droning an aid worker or a terrorist is telling.
And Rand Paul’s grilling of Blinken illustrates just how much Biden’s administration continues to drop the ball in the Middle East, taking a difficult situation and seemingly doing everything possible to make things worse.
The latest admission from Blinken regarding a US drone strike on an innocent man and his family also helps to paint a picture regarding Biden’s disregard for due process or even due diligence when determining who to unleash American military power against.
