Joe Biden and Barack Obama aren’t on the best terms.
And things might be worse than anyone knew about.
One report revealed some bombshell information about Biden and Obama’s fight.
The relationship between Joe Biden and Barack Obama has always been a bit complicated which isn’t uncommon between presidents and their vice presidents.
Donald Trump and Mike Pence, for example, had a very famous falling out and there have been reports that Biden and Kamala Harris did not get along well after Harris replaced him on the ticket.
But now more information is coming out about what took place behind the scenes with Biden and Obama, and it will be a fascinating thing for historians to dig into someday.
After Joe Biden dropped out of the race, he endorsed Kamala as his replacement almost immediately.
Barack Obama endorsed Harris much later and was apparently not happy with Biden for what he did.
A new report shows just how deep the tensions were between the two men.
According to The List, “While there has been much speculation regarding Joe and Jill Biden’s stances on Kamala Harris, Democratic campaign advisor Lindy Li informed NewsNation’s Natasha Zouves that former President Barack Obama was unhappy with the president’s decision to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election. According to Li, neither Obama nor 52nd Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi were supportive of Harris’ nomination and would have preferred a Democratic primary. Li’s statements indicate that when Joe endorsed Harris for president, he stirred the rumored feud between himself and Obama by endorsing Harris instead of pushing for a primary.”
According to the article, Obama wanted to open the process to more candidates but Biden’s endorsement essentially closed that off.
The article continues, “Li implied that Biden endorsing Harris was a shock to Obama, who already had a rumored feud with Biden over Biden’s possible run for president in 2016. Biden was allegedly perturbed by the fact that several Obama advisors urged the president not to run for the Democratic nominee in 2016, a role that eventually went to Hillary Clinton, who lost the 2016 presidential election against Donald Trump. According to Axios, various Biden aides stated that if Obama had encouraged him not to run in 2024, Biden probably would have done the opposite. It seems as though the conflicting voices within the Democratic party cause many rifts, and it doesn’t seem like the bad blood between Obama and Biden will be resolved anytime soon.”
Rumors are already emerging about infighting among the Democrats in the wake of Trump’s resounding win and Kamala’s poor performance.
Democrats will need to pull it together if they want any chance of strengthening their party after this defeat.
