It’s clear that foreign countries want the Democrats to win in 2024.
They are going to do what it takes to make sure that happens.
And one foreign leader intervened in a shocking way to help Kamala Harris.
Many foreign countries like working with Democrats better, because they know Democrats will not stand up as aggressively for the interests of the United States.
If Kamala Harris wins the election in 2024, it is highly unlikely she’ll push other NATO countries to pay their fair share for their national defense.
That, among many other reasons, is why politicians in places like the United Kingdom are willing to go the extra mile to see that she wins the election in November.
The latest one is Sadiq Khan, the very left-wing mayor of London.
Khan has made his opinions clear. He wants Harris to win, and thinks the U.K. Labour Party should help make it happen.
According to the Daily Mail, “In an interview with the New Statesman, Mr. Khan voiced his support for Mr. Trump’s rival Kamala Harris to defeat him on 5 November.”
“Mr. Khan also urged his Labour colleagues not to be shy in publicly voicing their support for Ms. Harris and the Democrats during the US election campaign.”
Khan is apparently looking for his colleagues to actively endorse Harris, and perhaps even campaign for her.
The article continues, “He praised the Democrat nominee’s pick of running mate Tim Walz, as he compared it to Mr Trump’s choice of JD Vance as his vice-presidential hopeful.”
Khan said, “I’ve been so impressed with Tim Walz. It just shows the judgement that Kamala Harris has in relation to her choice for vice-president.”
“Compare and contrast that with the choice made by the other guy, in JD Vance.”
“It’s obvious what my politics are. I’m a member of the Labour Party – we’re a social democratic party. I want the Democrats to win.”
“It’s no secret many Labour Party members go and volunteer for the Democrats during presidential elections.”
“We shouldn’t pretend otherwise. Many of my staffers helped all three: [Barack] Obama, [Hillary] Clinton and [Joe] Biden.”
This revelation may come as a surprise to many Americans who hoped that our elections weren’t being influenced from the outside.
Of course, Khan isn’t talking about any kind of shady business, and it’s not technically illegal for foreign nationals to volunteer for American candidates, but it still isn’t something that sits well with a lot of people in this country.
Americans should be able to elect who they want. Sadiq Khan is not an American, and his concern should be about his country, the United Kingdom, not America.
