Netflix has been a shining example of how a corporation can defeat the woke Left.
They have stood strong against threats from woke employees and activists.
And now the CEO of Netflix has taken it one step farther.
Ted Sarandos is the co-CEO of Netflix. He became a household name during the Dave Chappelle controversy, when woke activists were trying to cancel Chappelle for making a harmless transgender joke.
Sarandos defended Chappelle and refused to take his comedy special off Netflix. Eventually the woke mob backed down and Chappelle and Netflix both emerged stronger than ever.
Since then, Netflix’s stock has gone through the roof. And they have served as an example to other corporations who may be nervous about standing up to their own woke employees.
Now Sarandos is so fed up with the woke insanity that he has endorsed a lifelong Republican to be the mayor of Los Angeles, Rick Caruso.
Caruso re-registered as a Democrat in order to run for mayor, because Los Angeles is such a Democrat city, but he has always been a Republican and is running on a platform of fighting crime.
This platform appealed to Sarandos, who wrote a letter supporting Caruso and attacking the Democratic Party.
In his letter, he said: “I am writing this as a citizen of this beautiful but struggling city of ours. The entire machine of the Democratic Party had aligned for a candidate that is part of the very system that is failing this city. They are wrong. I am choosing to ignore the endorsements of the club members for a club member and vote for better leadership – I encourage you to do the same.”
Sarandos heaped praise on Caruso’s leadership on fighting against crime and harshly criticized the Leftists who have refused to do anything about it.
“If you think the city is well run and you want more of the same, don’t vote for Rick. All the sitting politicians who run it are telling you the same thing,” Sarandos continued.
“If you are tired of the inhumane way the homeless population lives in this city, the filth that goes uncleaned, the corruption in city hall, shrinking law enforcement and rising crime and now, the threat of even higher taxes – vote for Rick Caruso.”
Caruso concluded by emphasizing how important this election was to the city of Los Angeles.
“This city is at an inflection point. This election is the most important in memory. There are problems in the world and in the country that need to be solved, but it starts locally. Let’s solve the problems in Los Angeles by electing a Mayor who can work with the people, has a track record of accomplishments, understands business and is a decent human and true leader.”
This is one of the clearest signs yet that the woke movement has truly peaked and is now declining.
And if Netflix can continue to lead the way, eventually other corporations will realize that they too have the power to stand up against the woke mob.
