Just days ago, Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi were celebrating.
They believed that Democrats had thwarted a Red Wave.
But now, one shocking revelation just dismantled the Left’s biggest narrative about the 2022 elections.
Despite the media downplaying the Republican Party’s performance in the 2022 elections, the final results still appear to be pointing to a flip in the House of Representatives
Democrats were cheering on election night as several high profile races across the country either flipped to their hands, or survived a strong challenge from the GOP.
States across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic went Blue in what appeared to be a repudiation of the long promised “Red Wave” that conservatives had been hoping for against Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi.
But while many Democrats went to bed on election night thinking that they had held the Senate and likely the House as well, the last several days of ballot counting in several western and northern states has revealed something incredible.
Despite all of the media hype regarding Democrats supposedly “overperforming” expectations, the popular vote for control of the House of Representatives remains firmly in the hands of the Republican Party.
Just The News reports, “The country may have experienced a red wave after all. It just didn’t translate into the electoral outcomes that have historically accompanied major political shifts — and after the initial wave of instant narratives extemporized by pundits on election night, close observers are now just beginning to dig for the reasons underlying the model-shattering disconnect.
Republicans are currently winning the national popular vote for the House in Tuesday’s midterm elections by a large margin, according to the latest data from the Cook Political Report. Specifically, GOP candidates have so far received 50,672,592 votes, or 52.3% of the total ballots cast as of this writing. Democrat candidates, by comparison, have so far received 44,802,597 votes, or 46.2% of the total.”
With a more than 6 point edge in the popular vote margin across the country, it’s clear that Republicans did in fact have a Red Wave in the 2022 election cycle, just not one that the media was expecting.
But a large degree of the expectations set for Democrats were laid out by establishment media types that were attempting to front run Democrat results by setting the bar as low as can be.
That way, once Democrats avoided a complete wipeout like the one seen in 1994 or 2010, the media and their allies within the Democratic Party could claim that the Red Wave never materialized.
But setting expectations low and surpassing those low expectations does not take away from the fact than an outright majority of Americans voted against Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi’s agenda.
“This support for the GOP appears to fit with what pre-election polling data had suggested heading into Election Day. Several Republican candidates nationwide, including those running for the Senate and governors’ mansions, had been rising in the polls in the last couple months, indicating positive momentum for Republicans,” concluded Just The News, in a stunning rebuke of the Left’s narrative of how the 2022 election results shows that America supports continuing with the policies of Biden and Pelosi.
