Liz Cheney and the media are the best of friends now.
Both of them are happy to serve each other’s twisted agendas.
But Liz Cheney’s track record is coming to light now, and the liberal media is playing dumb.
Last year, the New York Times published a false report saying that the Russians were paying Taliban fighters to kill American troops.
This has since been completely and thoroughly disproven, and the Times has retracted the story.
But what the liberal media is conveniently ignoring is Liz Cheney’s role in spreading the story far and wide.
Independent journalist Glenn Greenwald reported, “Other than Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), there are few if any members of Congress who did more to spread this Russian bounty story as proven truth, all in order to block troop withdrawal from Afghanistan.”
As Greenwald alluded to, there are two major reasons why Cheney lied about this story.
One was to prevent any kind of withdrawal of American forces from Afghanistan. Her family’s proudest legacy is fighting bloody wars in the Middle East that send American soldiers home in body bags and kill innocent civilians overseas, including women and children.
She just couldn’t handle seeing those wars end.
The second reason was to damage President Trump’s reputation.
And that, of course, is why the media has gone to such lengths to heap adoration on Liz Cheney, in spite of her family’s bloody history starting wars, spying on Americans, and destroying the Constitution.
The liberal media doesn’t care about protecting the rights of Americans or stopping bloody wars. What they care about is helping Democrats and hurting Republicans.
And that is Liz Cheney’s new job in American politics.
She has taken to publicly bashing her Republican colleagues, saying that they are anti-American and imploring voters to support Democrats.
Her approval rating with Democrats is now more than double what it is with Republicans. She has drawn multiple serious primary challengers in her “home state” of Wyoming (although she grew up and still lives in Northern Virginia, not Wyoming).
And, of course, just recently she was stripped of her title as GOP Conference Chair in the House of Representatives, because of her constant bashing of Republicans and shilling for Democrats.
Many political observers have speculated that she may run for President in 2024 as a Democrat.
Cheney’s hostility towards conservatives isn’t new. Last year, she funded a primary challenger against Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), one of the most conservative members of the House.
She knows that Constitutional conservatives like Massie won’t go along with her warmongering schemes, nor will they support her total dismantling of the Fourth Amendment.
Fortunately, the voters of Kentucky’s 4th district rejected the Cheney blood money, and re-elected Massie to Congress with over 80% of the vote.
And most polls are showing that voters in Wyoming will make the same choice when Cheney herself is up for re-election in 2022 – to reject her money and end her career.
Liz Cheney thinks playing footsie with the liberal media will help her advance her warmonger agenda, but she may soon find that it was a terrible mistake.
