This could be the mistake that sinks Kamala Harris.
She is facing a scandal after what her ally just did.
And this big mistake will leave her in a very difficult situation moving forward.
David Axelrod just admitted something about Kamala Harris that will force her to answer some very difficult questions about her campaign.
She has been accused by many of not having any cogent policy positions, but simply parroting what other people say in an effort to avoid tough questions from the press.
While her campaign has been denying it, Axelrod made the mistake of acknowledging that is true in an effort to defend her that backfired.
He was trying to explain away the fact that her political positions seem to have changed dramatically on a number of issues since her presidential run in 2019 and 2020.
But in doing so, he admitted that in her previous run, she simply took the positions her advisors told her to take.
If that was the case, then it‘s fair to assume it raises big questions about whether she is cut out to serve as president.
And it could lead to voters second-guessing whether they should vote for her or not.
According to Breitbart, “On Thursday’s broadcast of ‘CNN NewsNight,’ CNN Senior Political Commentator and former Obama adviser David Axelrod said 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris took ‘a bunch’ of positions during her last presidential run ‘that did not really reflect what she felt comfortable with and she did not seem connected to the words she was speaking’ because political consultants told her to.”
Axelrod’s stunning admission raises the question of how much of what Harris says is actually coming from her.
The article continues, “Later, after Harris’ immigration policy flip came up, Axelrod stated that ‘the reason she didn’t make it to 2020 was she was taking a bunch of positions that were the state of the art political advice that did not really reflect what she felt comfortable with and she did not seem connected to the words she was speaking’ before being cut off by host Abby Phillip.”
“In another section of the segment, Axelrod said he thinks Harris is a ‘pragmatic progressive,’ and the Democratic Party has shifted on immigration.”
Of course, it is convenient to claim that the party has shifted on immigration, as the country is in the midst of one of the worst immigration crises ever which was entirely caused by Democrats.
It makes sense that Axelrod and Harris would want to run away from that in an effort to avoid responsibility for what has taken place.
On immigration and other issues, it appears that Harris is simply going to take the position that she is told to take by the people around her.
