Joe Biden’s Vice-President Kamala Harris thinks it’s only a matter of time until she takes over the White House.
But her plans to become President are falling apart fast.
And it’s all thanks to one stunning blindside no one saw coming.
When Joe Biden tapped Kamala Harris to be his running mate last year, almost everyone in the establishment media and in Washington, D.C. thought it was only a matter of time until she would take over the number one role herself.
After Biden’s inauguration, there was even talk that she was the true power behind the Biden administration, and that she would end up being the Democratic Party’s nominee for President in 2024 rather than Biden himself.
But now, with less than 6 months after Biden took office, it appears as if everything is beginning to go wrong for the Vice President.
After Joe Biden named Harris as the lead administration official to deal with the border crisis, Harris’ standing in the 2024 primaries started to take a nosedive.
It was the ultimate backhanded promotion. Far from being a prestigious assignment that would catapult herself to the top of the Democratic Party’s race to succeed Joe Biden, Harris’ staff viewed the border as a burden that would end up cursing her future political career.
And over the last five months, that’s exactly what’s happened.
Not only has the border crisis only grown since January, but Harris hasn’t once bothered to even visit the border, let alone show any sign of wanting to tackle the issue that Biden said was now her responsibility.
After months of dodging the work given to her and complaining that she wasn’t the one who should have to deal with the problem, Harris and her staff are now facing growing pressure to finally address the southern border crisis.
The New York Post reports, “Dozens of House Republicans are demanding President Biden remove Vice President Harris from her leading role handling the US migrant crisis, citing her “inaction” on the issue.”
The letter these 56 Republicans have signed singles Harris out for one of the most epic botched cases of mismanagement by any Vice President in the last 20 years.
“Despite being in the midst of a border crisis this country has not seen in two decades, Vice President Harris has not yet shown adequate interest in observing this crisis first-hand.”
“In the 85 days since the Vice President has been tasked with solving this crisis, she has yet to visit the border and meet with Border Patrol agents, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials and local law enforcement officials.” states the House Republican letter calling on Harris to be removed from the role Biden assigned her.
Ironically, Harris and her staff would likely welcome being removed from having to deal with the border crisis. She has shown no desire to address the problem in any way since taking office, and her staff have gone out of their way to make sure she doesn’t even visit the southern border.
Regardless of when Biden finally throws in the towel and removes Harris from her role however, it’s clear that her failure to address the border crisis will weigh heavily on any future Presidential run she makes.
