It was a bad day for Kamala Harris after this arrest that she never expected.
She is under siege and getting very nervous.
Now she is hiding from the public and canceling her TV appearances.
Kamala Harris is realizing she may have made a mistake by throwing her lot in with the radical left.
She thought she could ride the wave of left-wing energy and extremism to the White House in 2020, and she was right. But now she is paying the price for that decision, and it is getting ugly.
Climate protestors showed up to her house looking to cause a scene, something Harris certainly did not expect.
They were arrested immediately, but the whole episode surely made Harris wonder whether or not these types of people actually make good allies for her political cause.
According to the Los Angeles Times, “Demanding more action on the climate crisis, young activists blocked an intersection Monday morning near Vice President Kamala Harris’ Brentwood home, leading police to arrest six of them without incident.”
“Harris did not interact with the demonstrators, as her motorcade took an alternate route from her home to Los Angeles International Airport that morning. She flew to Las Vegas to speak about a recent federal gun safety law and attend an event advocating reproductive rights.”
“A crowd of about 40 youthful activists set up camp near Harris’ house Sunday, vowing to stay through the night if she did not meet their demands on climate change and Israel.”
No sooner had this happened than Harris abruptly decided to cancel her TV appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show without providing any sort of reason for the decision.
According to Yahoo! News, ‘Vice President Kamala Harris’ appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ has been postponed.”
“The VP will no longer appear on the late night show on Tuesday, April 16, and the appearance is set to be rescheduled to a later date, according to an individual with knowledge of the decision.”
“No reason was given for the postponement, and ABC did not provide a comment.”
There’s no way to know for sure what caused the decision to postpone. It may have just been a legitimate scheduling conflict.
But it is interesting this decision came so soon after her house was mobbed by angry radical climate protestors.
It is certainly understandable that someone who has just been through an incident like that wouldn’t want to show their face out in public quite as much.
Harris certainly doesn’t deserve to go through something like that, but it seems she found out the hard way that associating with the extreme fringes of the Democratic Party is not the best idea.
