The tension continues to grow between Kamala Harris and Joe Biden.
Ever since Biden was forced to step down there has been resentment.
Now Kamala Harris is throwing Joe Biden directly under the bus.
One of the key themes of people who criticize Kamala Harris’s campaign is that she has been the vice president for the past 3.5 years and hasn’t implemented the things she is campaigning on.
Many have wondered how she can claim to be a fresh new choice for the presidency when she represents the same unpopular administration that is largely regarded as a failure.
The only way she truly can answer those questions is by throwing Joe Biden under the bus, something she has been hesitant to do until now apparently.
Perhaps what changed is that Harris and her advisors looked at the polls and realized things were getting desperate and they needed to make a radical change in their approach.
Now Harris is essentially blaming Biden for failing to implement the policies she claims to support.
According to Breitbart, “On Tuesday’s broadcast of CBS’s ‘Late Show,’ 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris responded to questions on why she hasn’t implemented the policy fixes she promises to during her tenure as Vice President by stating that as the VP, ‘there are a lot of responsibilities that you take on’ but ‘I have pointed out, through my three and a half years of being Vice President, that it’s Vice President.’”
The implications of her statement are clear: she is just the vice president, and she wanted to implement these “policy fixes” but Joe Biden simply wouldn’t let her.
Here’s what Kamala claims: “I have pointed out, through my three and a half years of being Vice President, that it’s Vice President. And there are a lot of responsibilities that you take on. But, did you see that kid who was interviewed after their debate? And — oh, you have to see it, Stephen — and he gave just a total civics lesson about the role of vice president.”
While it is true that the vice president has limited responsibilities, it’s convenient that she never had a bad word to say about Joe Biden’s administration until right now.
One has to wonder whether she actually feels that way, or if she sees it as politically necessary to flee the sinking ship.
In either case, this interview with Colbert is only going to inflame the tensions between the two.
