This was not the finest moment for Kamala Harris.
She couldn’t believe this was all caught on camera.
Kamala Harris was embarrassed on live TV and it sent her into a complete meltdown.
Dating back even to before the Obama administration, Democrats have been at war with Fox News.
As President, Obama demanded a boycott of the news channel and it’s very rare to see Democrats agree to give interviews on the network.
For that reason, Fox hosts have felt free to give their honest opinions and analysis of leading Democrat figures, including Kamala Harris.
And the truth about them is often ugly.
Harris in particular was thoroughly embarrassed on The Five, as they reamed her out for her incompetence and sketchy personal history.
Apparently, Harris was watching The Five when this took place, and the criticism sent her into meltdown mode.
According to the New York Post, “Vice President Kamala Harris ‘occasionally’ turns on Fox News to watch ‘The Five’ — and criticism of her on the show has lately ‘got in her head and caused high anxiety,’ according to a report.”
“A former aide to the vice president told Axios that Harris has reeled from the critical commentary by the Fox News personalities, which have included questioning her leadership skills and past relationships.”
Here is what The Five has been saying about her: “Last June, ‘The Five’ co-host Greg Gutfeld said the prospect of Harris taking over for Biden as president would be ‘scary.’”
“That same month, co-host Jessica Tarlov took issue with fellow panelist Jesse Watters insinuating that Harris’ past romantic relationship with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown was ‘how she got ahead in politics.’”
“Harris and Brown dated in the mid-1990s when he was a lawmaker in the California State Assembly and she was a prosecutor in the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office.”
The fact that the Vice President of the United States, who is one heartbeat away from the presidency and is serving under the oldest president in U.S. history, is spending her time watching The Five on Fox News and getting anxiety from it, instead of dealing with our nation’s many foreign and domestic crises, is extremely concerning.
Harris clearly doesn’t understand that when you hold any public office, let alone a position as high-ranking as the Vice President of the United States, people are going to criticize you.
And she has not made matters better for herself with some of her ugly gaffes.
If she is this embarrassed by being criticized on TV, then it’s hard to imagine how she could handle the rigors of the presidency.
