It’s become a dangerous situation for everybody involved.
Kamala Harris committed an act that infuriated Vladimir Putin.
And what happens next is anyone’s guess.
The war between Ukraine and Russia has been devastating and one that’s claimed the lives of countless people.
Many have wondered whether the war will spiral into a conflict between the world’s two biggest nuclear powers.
Thankfully, that hasn’t happened so far, but nothing is off the table at this point.
But now the White House has made the extremely questionable decision to get Kamala Harris involved in the process of helping Ukraine.
She is going to Switzerland to represent the United States at a peace conference regarding the deadly war happeining in Ukraine.
And the crazed dictator of Russia, Vladimir Putin, is not going to be happy.
According to One America News Network, “Vice President Kamala Harris will be representing the United States during the upcoming June 2024 Ukraine peace summit.”
“The White House announced that Harris would be attending the event on June 15th, traveling to Lucerne, Switzerland.”
The White House released a statement saying, “The Vice President will underscore the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to supporting Ukraine’s effort to secure a just and lasting peace, based on Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
While the summit might be nothing more than a symbolic photo-op, the fact Harris is representing the United States in such a dangerous global situation is troubling.
Surely the White House could have found someone more knowledgeable and experienced who knows what they’re talking about.
“Zelenskyy has encouraged all world leaders to attend the summit, even as he has accused Russia, along with help from China, of trying to undermine the meeting,” the article continues.
“Kirby continued by explaining that Harris will be attending ‘because of our desire to be represented around that table’ and that her presence will help demonstrate that ‘Ukraine has no stronger backer than the United States.’”
Of course, whatever partisan differences anyone has with Kamala Harris, it’s obviously best for everyone if she succeeds at bringing peace to the region.
Her history, however, raises questions about whether she has the ability at all to achieve something like that.
Polls show Americans have a very dim view of Harris’s abilities as a leader and many think she shouldn’t even be on the 2024 ticket.
If she can’t even convince Americans, how will she possibly convince a dictator to back off?
