Joe Rogan’s enemies have been trying to destroy him for years.
They have smeared him in every way imaginable to get him canceled.
But Jordan Peterson hit back against those left-wing critics in a brilliant way.
Joe Rogan is the single biggest media figure on the planet. He has more viewers on his podcast than any TV host, including Tucker Carlson.
He is also one of the Left’s biggest enemies, as he refuses to be controlled by their agenda, and he is willing to engage with conservatives, moderates, and free thinkers.
Rogan’s political views are a wide range, from conservative on some issues like guns, to more liberal on certain social issues.
He is difficult to put in a box politically, and he thinks for himself. The establishment and the Left find that extremely threatening.
That’s why they have tried to cancel him for every reason imaginable, from COVID “misinformation” to alleged racism, which has been debunked.
None of this has worked. Spotify has stood by him and vowed to continue promoting his podcast.
And Rogan himself has never backed down in the face of left-wing pressure, no matter how loud the criticism has been.
And now Jordan Peterson, one of the greatest thinkers of our time, has leapt to his defense.
According to Newsweek, “Jordan Peterson has shared the reason why he believes Joe Rogan has proved to be so successful with his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.
“Canadian psychologist and media personality Peterson, who has been a guest on Rogan’s podcast on a number of occasions, sought to explain the recipe of the broadcaster’s success in a video that has gone viral on social media.”
Peterson had this to say: “So one of the reasons Joe Rogan is so successful, by the way, is that that’s what Joe does – he just asks questions. He isn’t trying to get something from his guests. He’s not trying to become more famous. He doesn’t need any more money. There’s no instrumental utilization of language in his discourse. He’s just a humble lunkhead, in the most profound sense, who would like to know more than he knows, and who asks all the stupid questions he can think up.”
Peterson continued, “And it turns out that he’s actually very, very smart and very well educated now after talking to hundreds and hundreds of people and listening. And so the stupid questions he asks aren’t stupid, and they’re questions that are shared by virtually everyone who’s listening. And he takes his listeners along on this process of exploratory endeavor, and it’s the pathway to success.”
Peterson hits the nail on the head with these comments. Rogan can’t be controlled by the Left because he doesn’t actually need anything from them.
He doesn’t need mainstream media attention or money. He’s set for life. He has total freedom to just say what he believes and let the chips fall where they may.
By doing so, Rogan has set an example for how the next generation of media could help to make people more informed, not less.
