Joe Biden may only get one pick to put on the Supreme Court, and he is doing his best to make sure that appointment goes down in history as a laughing stock.
After the Senate confirmation hearings on Biden’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, began this past week, the obvious partisan bias of Biden’s pick became clear to everyone.
And it’s all over one outrageous comment Jackson made about what qualities define whether or not someone is a man or a woman.
The New York Post reports, “Conservatives were shocked and outraged Wednesday after Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first black woman nominated to the Supreme Court, refused to define the word “woman” on the grounds that, as she put it, “I’m not a biologist.”
Jackson made these comments during a back and forth exchange with Senator Marsha Blackburn after the DC Circuit Court of Appeals judge was asked if she could “provide a definition for the word ’woman’.”
After trying to stonewall on the issue, Jackson finally admitted “No, I can’t.”
“You can’t?” Blackburn asked.
“Not in this context. I’m not a biologist,” Jackson said.
Apparently, Biden’s nominee thinks one must be a biologist in order to understand the obvious about whether or not someone is a man or a woman.
But it goes beyond that.
By her own logic, Judge Jackson is effectively arguing that unless someone is a vet, they cannot tell whether or not an animal is a dog or a cat.
Of course, reasonable people know exactly what the definition of a woman is, an adult human female.
The only reason Jackson equivocated on this basic question is because she fears public backlash from the Left, which insists that the rest of the country bow down and accept their own narrative, lest they face the consequences of refusing to do so.
Oddly enough, Jackson has had no issue using the word “woman” to defend abortion.
The New York Post adds, “Though Jackson claimed to be unable to define the word ‘woman,’ she used it at several points while answering questions Tuesday — including when she insisted that the Supreme Court’s decisions in Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey ‘are the settled law … concerning the right to terminate a woman’s pregnancy.’”
Biden’s Supreme Court nominee knows perfectly well what a woman is. She is one herself.
She simply refuses to define it during a Senate committee hearing because she fears triggering backlash from her own woke base, which is currently pushing for her appointment to the court in the first place.
And that base has taken to trying to impose its view on gender ideology on the rest of America, regardless of the science behind it.
This is perhaps most evidenced by the recent scandal related to a transgender woman being able to compete against biological women in an NCAA swimming competition. That transgender woman, Lia Thomas, smoked the competition amid uproars from those in the crowd and online, with several of the female swimmers he competed against claiming that the decision to allow biological men to compete against biological women will mean the end of women’s sports.
Based on her exchange with Senator Blackburn, Judge Jackson intends to support this should she be confirmed to the Supreme Court.
