This may be the final nail in Joe Biden’s presidency.
He had another episode that’s got everyone around him worried sick.
And one close friend and ally of Biden just urged him to step down.
Many Democrats have been privately worried whether Joe Biden can handle another presidential campaign, let alone four more years in the Oval Office.
But while they’ve been afraid to voice this publicly, Biden continues to have embarrassing verbal bumbles during public appearances.
And another bumble just occurred during an event in Delaware that’s raising serious concerns.
According to the New York Post, “President Biden on Monday repeated a false personal story about an Amtrak conductor who purportedly proclaimed, ‘Joey, baby!’ while extolling Biden’s rail ridership — despite the tale repeatedly being debunked by fact-checkers.”
“Biden told the anecdote twice Monday during a pro-commuter rail event in Delaware, bringing his total number of tellings to at least 12 since he took office as president.”
“The first iteration Monday was heard by pool reporters as the 80-year-old president conversed with Amtrak employees just before a speech in Bear, Del., near Wilmington.”
“After taking the stage, Biden told the tall tale again — adding details that made the version even more removed from established facts.”
These gaffes are causing Democrats to become openly alarmed about what the next year is going to look like.
Now David Axelrod – one of the men responsible for bringing Biden into the White House as Vice President in 2008 – is calling for him to step down.
According to a report from The Hill, “Former President Obama’s senior adviser David Axelrod on Sunday suggested President Biden drop out of the 2024 presidential race in the wake of a new poll showing the incumbent trailing former President Trump.”
Axelrod had this to say on Twitter: “Trump is a dangerous, unhinged demagogue whose brazen disdain for the rules, [norms], laws and institutions or democracy should be disqualifying. But the stakes of miscalculation here are too dramatic to ignore.”
“Only @JoeBiden can make this decision. If he continues to run, he will be the nominee of the Democratic Party. What he needs to decide is whether that is wise; whether it’s in HIS best interest or the country’s?”
More and more Democrats are coming to terms with the fact that Biden’s cognitive state is simply unsustainable and dragging the Party down.
And with a Democrat figure as prominent as David Axelrod saying this publicly, Americans are starting to wonder if Biden will even make it to be the Democrat nominee in 2024.
