The walls are closing in on Hunter Biden.
His father simply cannot defend his actions anymore.
And Joe Biden delivered a public threat to Hunter that sent shockwaves through American politics.
Now that Hunter Biden has been found guilty, many people have wondered whether his father will use his executive authority to pardon him and get him out of trouble.
This is a reasonable question to ask, as the Biden family has been using their prominence and power to get out of trouble for a long time.
Hunter Biden may have assumed that the answer was “yes,” since his dad is the president, and the president has nearly unlimited pardoning ability.
But if he was banking on his dad giving him an escape hatch, he is going to have to think again.
Joe Biden had a sit-down with ABC News, and he was directly asked whether he is planning to pardon his son Hunter, who has now been found guilty in his trial.
And Joe Biden shocked everyone with his answer, which was far different from what many people were expecting to hear from him.
According to ABC News, “President Joe Biden said he would not pardon his son Hunter amid an ongoing felony gun trial during a wide-ranging exclusive interview with ABC News anchor David Muir at the Normandy American Cemetery on the 80th anniversary of D-Day.”
“Muir asked Biden on Thursday if he would accept the outcome of his son’s trial in Wilmington, Delaware, to which the president said, ‘Yes.’ Biden also said ‘yes’ when asked by Muir if he would rule out a pardon for Hunter.”
This is a shocking outcome, and it is out of character for the Biden family, who under different circumstances would certainly have been expected to use their power to get out of trouble.
But with the eyes of the world upon him, Joe Biden simply couldn’t bring himself to do something that would have clearly been wrong and unfair.
Hunter Biden is going to have to pay the price for his actions, no matter who his dad is.
The article continues, “Hunter Biden, the president’s only surviving son, is on trial in Delaware on three felony charges related to his efforts to obtain a firearm in 2018 while allegedly addicted to drugs. It’s a historic trial, as no son of a sitting president has faced a criminal trial before. Hunter Biden pleaded not guilty last October after being indicted by special counsel David Weiss.”
The fact that so much of the conversation around this upcoming election has revolved around criminal trials highlights the need in America for better leaders.
Joe Biden’s sketchy activities, and the activities of his close family members, have been known in D.C. circles for a very long time.
These things should have disqualified him from the White House, along with his age. But Democrats leaders didn’t care and nominated him anyway.
Now it looks like things are going to turn out poorly for his son Hunter, and there’s not much he can do about it.
