You’ll be disgusted when you hear about what Joe Biden did.
He should be consoling those who went through the tragic loss of a loved one.
But instead, he did something to make their pain even worse.
There is perhaps no one in the world who enjoys talking about themselves more than Joe Biden does.
Even when he is supposed to be consoling those who are going through a terrible grief, he always manages to find a way to turn it around and make it about him.
Democrats will try to pass it off as just “Joe being Joe,” but in reality, it can hurt people in a very deep way when they’re already going through an unimaginable tragedy to begin with.
The families of those who were lost in the Baltimore bridge collapse are going through a very deep and inconsolable pain.
As President, one of Joe Biden’s jobs is to show leadership in moments like that and provide some solace to the families.
But instead he told a fabricated story about himself crossing the bridge, which was later proven to be false.
According to the New York Post, “President Biden on Tuesday was fact-checked by social media users after claiming that he’s commuted over Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge ‘many, many times … either on a train or by car.’”
“Numerous people on X noted that the bridge, which fell into the Patapsco River early Tuesday morning after being struck by a massive cargo ship, has never had rail lines attached to it.”
Here is what Biden said: “At about 1:30 [a.m.], a container ship struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge, which I’ve been over many, many times commuting from the state of Delaware either on a train or by car. I’ve been to Baltimore Harbor many times. And the bridge collapsed, sending several people and vehicles into the water — into the river.”
But people who knew the area were quick to point out he was completely making up this story. There are no train tracks on the bridge.
Radio talk show host Alan Sanders responded to Biden by tweeting, “Ummm…what train tracks is he referencing? Because there are none on the Francis Scott Key bridge.”
The article continues, “Biden, the oldest-ever commander-in-chief, has a decades-long propensity for embellishing personal stories.”
Oftentimes these embellishments are harmless, if embarrassing. But this one came at an extremely sensitive time for people who had lost loved ones.
The last thing they wanted to hear was Biden making up a story to talk about himself at a time when they were grieving innocent people who had died young due to an accident.
Instead of alleviating their suffering, Joe Biden made a spectacle of himself on stage and created yet another controversy.
His leadership as president has been a disaster from day one, and the voters who will decide his re-election fate are taking notice.
