President Biden is in serious political trouble.
His popularity numbers are sinking lower and lower.
And Gavin Newsom may be the one who finally finishes him off.
Joe Biden is not looking forward to having to run an entire campaign for the 2024 election.
Biden, who will be 82 by the time his first term is over, is not going to be able to run a “basement campaign” like last time if he hopes to win.
He will have to go out and campaign with boots on the ground just like everybody else.
But with endless gaffes, cognitive decline, and other geriatric symptoms, his mind and body just may be too fargone.
Which is why a number of Democrats are quietly starting to look at other options.
A younger, more viable Democrat – one with the same progressive policies as Biden, but who could at least be able to campaign with vigor and energy.
Democrats know this may be their only hope of retaining the White House and they’re considering California Gov. Gavin Newsom as their great savior for 2024.
According to The Hill, “California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) rising media profile in recent weeks has renewed speculation over his presidential aspirations.”
Newsom is an insane progressive who refused to reopen his state even as the COVID pandemic was clearly receding.
But he is younger and more telegenic, which may enable him to defeat Biden in the primary.
The article continues, “His aggressive media play comes amid heightened anxiety within the Democratic Party over President Biden’s age and low popularity, raising the question of what exactly Newsom wants to achieve.”
Newsom has spent much of his time in the media bashing Ron DeSantis, whom Democrats have openly stated they don’t want as the Republican nominee.
As the article states about Newsom, “Some of that national spotlight has been used to go after DeSantis – a 2024 GOP presidential contender and the chief rival of former President Trump – over several dozen migrants who were flown to California. Newsom’s administration alleges some of the migrants traveled to California under false pretenses, while the DeSantis administration has maintained they went to the Golden State voluntarily.”
Of course, Newsom is lying about DeSantis, who is just trying to protect his state from the scourge of illegal immigration that Biden has created with his open borders policies.
Newsom is one of the leading champions of open borders, so as President, it is fair to assume he would not enforce immigration laws at all.
And as a younger and more energetic candidate than Biden, it could be problematic for the Republican Party.
If he were to become the nominee, it would be imperative for Republicans to defeat Newsom because he would be catastrophic as President.
