Joe Biden got his son Hunter off easy.
He pulled all the strings so Hunter could get away with his crimes.
But Joe Biden realized quickly that it wouldn’t be that easy to keep the truth from coming out.
The Department of Justice reports directly to Joe Biden and it’s clear there was a major conflict of interest in the Hunter Biden investigation.
For years, the Biden family has been looking out for each other in effort to keep their shady dealings from being exposed.
It was obvious Joe Biden was going to do everything he could to get his son Hunter off easy for his corrupt business dealings with tyrannical foreign governments.
And sure enough, he pulled enough strings in the Department of Justice to convince them to give him a sweetheart deal.
Hunter deserved far more than a slap on the wrist for his activities, but Merrick Garland and his underlings didn’t want to get crossways with Joe Biden.
But the scrutiny on Joe and Hunter hasn’t stopped in the wake of this sweetheart deal.
According to Politico, “House Republicans are lambasting the plea deal between the Justice Department and Hunter Biden as proof of a federal law enforcement double standard – and warning it won’t derail their months-long investigation into the president and his family.”
“As part of an agreement filed in federal court in Delaware on Tuesday, Hunter Biden will plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges. He’s also being charged with possessing a firearm while being a user of illegal drugs, a felony, but will have the charge dismissed if he completes a two-year probationary period.”
Republicans are furious about how the law seemingly does not apply to powerful Democrats and they have every right to be.
The article continues, “The charges, which are the culmination of a years-long federal investigation into the president’s son, immediately sparked accusations of a ‘double standard’ by House Republicans, who are conducting a far-reaching investigation into the business deals of Hunter Biden and other family members as they hunt for an elusive link to Joe Biden.”
Speaker McCarthy made it clear this isn’t going to stop the investigation. In fact, it makes it more likely the ugly truth will come out.
“It actually should enhance our investigations because the DOJ should not be able to withhold any information now. … They should be able to provide Chairman Comer with any information that he requires,” McCarthy said.
This is because if the DOJ’s investigation is over, they can’t claim an “ongoing investigation” as a reason to withhold information.
The House of Representatives can essentially force them to hand over information they’d previously been keeping a secret to protect Hunter Biden’s reputation.
It’s clear the DOJ has been involved in some dirty dealings with their boss Joe Biden.
But the truth is going to come out one way or the other.
