It was a horrible turn of events for Gavin Newsom.
He had a master plan that was perfectly laid out.
But his former ally turned against him and leaked everything publicly.
One of the key aspects of the current Democrat agenda is to coddle criminals and effectively legalize crime in blue states and blue cities.
This has caused major problems for the residents in these cities who’ve had to deal with their personal safety becoming more and more compromised thanks to these dangerous policies of the Democrats.
However, some Democrats have begun to turn against these policies after realizing the effects it’s having on ordinary people.
One California State Senator finally decided enough was enough and voiced her opposition to the Democrats’ efforts to coddle some of the worst criminals in the country.
According to Fox News, “California Democratic state Sen. Susan Talamantes Eggman urged her progressive colleagues to pass a Republican-led bill that would make it a felony to solicit a child for sex.”
Eggman announced, “I’d like to say as a progressive, proud member of this body for the last 12 years, I’m done. I’m done with us protecting people who would buy and abuse our children. I’m done. I don’t want to send more Black and brown men to prison. I don’t want more people in prison, but I don’t want people buying girls.”
This was a powerful statement from someone who has been so closely tied to Gavin Newsom’s agenda for such a long time.
And while Newsom hasn’t directly taken a position on this bill, his governorship as a whole has been committed to coddling criminals in California.
“Senate Bill 1414, introduced by Republican state Sen. Shannon Grove along with Democratic state senators Anna Caballero and Susan Rubio, classifies soliciting or purchasing sex from children 15 and under as either a misdemeanor or felony with the possibility of jail time,” the article continues.
“For those aged 16-17, it’s considered a misdemeanor. While a felony charge entails prison time, repeat offenders with a substantial age gap with the victim must register as tier one sex offenders on their second offense.”
This is something any reasonable person would consider to be common sense, but it flies in the face of modern progressive ideology.
Progressives believe criminals commit crimes because of how the justice system mistreats them.
Sen. Eggman was able to see this reality for what it is.
