The Left is seething with rage after the latest news about Elon Musk.
Their hopes and dreams about Twitter collapsing under Musk have been ruined.
Twitter is thriving, and Elon Musk just got one major piece of good news.
When Elon Musk took over Twitter, he immediately instituted big new changes, and the media and the Left heaped scorn on him like never before.
They were absolutely convinced that Twitter would fall apart under his watch, and they were more than happy to help the process along through boycotts and hit pieces.
And while there were parts of the transition that seemed a bit shaky, Twitter is back on its feet. And its success has been so impossible to ignore that other companies are now copying Elon Musk’s model.
According to a report from Gizmodo, “When Elon Musk took over Twitter, he gave employees one week to turn verification into a paid service. To many, the idea that anyone would pay for a blue check on Twitter seemed absurd, and even undermined the very idea of verification. The joke may be on us, it turns out.”
“Meta just launched a paid verification service of its own on Instagram and Facebook this weekend. Snapchat’s premium product has more than two million subscribers. If Meta is good at anything, it’s copying successful features. Perhaps Elon was right all along. Apparently, charging for verification makes business sense, and we may be at the dawn of a new era in paid social media services.”
That’s right – all the Left-wing companies who were snickering at Musk when he took over Twitter and launched paid verification through Twitter Blue are now copying his exact business model.
They say the sincerest form of flattery is imitation, and the entire social media industry seems to be imitating Elon Musk.
The article continues, “Who would pay for social media? A lot of people. Snapchat says it now has more than 2 million paid subscribers.”
It seems that Elon Musk was ahead of the curve with his plan for Twitter. He has turned the platform from a Left-wing censorship regime that wasn’t profitable to a free speech haven that is becoming more and more profitable by the day.
And now that companies are copying his Twitter Blue paid verification system, hopefully the next step will be for them to copy his free speech policies.
This would invite a huge amount of backlash from the radical Left, but it would make social media a safer platform for more people to speak their minds with diverse viewpoints.
Right now, Big Tech companies are still silencing viewpoints that they don’t like, and Twitter stands alone with its free speech policies.
But as Twitter grows more and more successful, and cuts into the market share of social media sites like Facebook, these sites may have no choice but to change their policies.
Elon Musk is changing the world of social media every day, and its competitor sites are proving that they have no choice but to follow in his footsteps.
