Everything is breaking Elon Musk’s way right now.
His liberal nemesis finally admitted defeat.
And now Musk has yet another major victory to celebrate.
The Democrats and even liberals from other countries have been praying for Elon Musk’s businesses to fail.
Because Musk has become such a polarizing figure, especially now that he’s working for the Trump administration, he has many enemies who hope the people who don’t agree with his politics will stop giving him their business.
But that’s not what is happening according to The Guardian – a wildly liberal publication from the U.K.
Despite all the controversy surrounding Musk, Tesla appears to be doing just fine.
“Sales of Tesla’s in the UK rose by more than a fifth last month as demand for battery-powered cars increased, despite the prospect of a buyer backlash over Elon Musk’s controversial and divisive behavior since becoming a key figure in Donald Trump’s administration,” The Guardian reports.
“Almost 4,000 Teslas were sold in the UK in February, with the Model 3 and Model Y proving the second and third most popular after the Mini Cooper, according to the latest new car registration figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).”
It’s worth noting that Trump is far less popular in the U.K. than he is in the U.S.
“Tesla sales were up 20.7% year on year, lifting the company’s market share from 3.75% in February 2024 to 4.6% last month, suggesting Musk’s actions have not yet hurt the electric vehicle maker in the UK. The overall market declined by 1%, with 84,054 new registrations,” The Guardian continues.
“There has been some evidence that Musk’s interventions in European political affairs and his senior role in Trump’s administration are leading to a consumer backlash by some Tesla owners or prospective buyers.”
If there has been a backlash in other European countries, it’s clearly not bled into the U.K.
Either way, Musk doesn’t appear to be feeling any pressure to leave the Trump administration anytime soon.
