This is going to sting for Elon Musk.
He is doing his best to help the country he loves.
But he just received a heartbreaking betrayal from his own father.
Little is known about Elon Musk’s relationship with his father, but he surely can’t be happy that his father spoke out against his political activities in the Trump administration.
Musk was assigned by President Trump to slash government spending and reduce the size of federal agencies.
The fact he’s made enemies by doing this is not surprising, but he surely didn’t expect his own father to make public statements saying he has no business being in politics.
According to NDTV, “Errol Musk, the father of billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, has expressed concerns about his son’s potential future in politics. In a candid interview with Al Arabiya News, Errol shared his doubts about Elon’s ability to connect with people from all walks of life, a crucial skill for any politician.”
“According to Errol, Elon is not used to connecting with people on the ground-level and is accustomed to only working with ‘top-tier’ people.”
The problem with what Errol Musk is saying is that his son is not running for public office. He has been hired by an elected official to do a very specific job.
Because of that, it’s not necessarily as important for him to “connect” with people. Elon Musk isn’t being asked to walk into a diner in Iowa and chat it up with old ladies.
“Errol also drew parallels between Elon’s potential political journey and that of Donald Trump. He noted that Trump’s brash New York demeanor made it challenging for him to connect with ordinary voters, and Elon might face similar difficulties,” the article continues.
“In addition to his concerns about Elon’s political aspirations, Errol discussed his son’s role as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency. Errol revealed that the department’s investigation uncovered widespread inefficiencies and waste, leading to the drastic decision to shut down the entire department.”
None of this will not stop Musk from doing the work Trump has assigned him to do.
However, it will give Musk’s political enemies fodder to claim he needs to step aside from his position.
