Adam Schiff never thought Elon Musk would bring the hammer down on him.
He’s never had to face the consequences for his lying.
But that all changed after one brutal punishment from Elon Musk.
Ever since Elon Musk bought Twitter and rebranded it as X, he has changed the way business is done at the social media giant.
Instead of banning users for expressing their conservative views, he now fact-checks the media and liberal politicians who tell lies and half-truths to mislead people.
He’s made X a place where conservatives can express their views without fear of retribution and liberals will face the consequences of lying.
And that is exactly what happened to Adam Schiff after he told one of the lies he’s become notorious for.
Schiff is trying to whip up fear about the Speaker’s election and the possibility that a conservative might take the reins as Speaker of the House.
Jim Jordan was one of the leading contenders, and Schiff was terrified that he might win. So he decided to tell a lie about Jordan to spread fear and panic.
But Elon Musk wasn’t having it and doled out a punishment that made Schiff regret his actions.
According to Fox News, “Rep. Adam Schiff’s, D-Calif., knowledge of civics got called into question by social media platform X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday after the lawmaker warned that Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, would be the one counting the electoral votes in the next presidential election if he’s elected speaker of the House.”
“In the middle of Congress voting on whether Jordan would be the new speaker — following the ouster of Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., from the role — Schiff warned that Jordan would be in a prominent position to sway next year’s presidential election if he received the gavel.”
That’s when Elon Musk stepped in and made sure the truth got out there.
“After Schiff shared the post, however, he received a Community Note from X, correcting his claim that the next speaker of the House would be approving the final tally of electoral votes for the next presidential race.”
“The note declared, ‘The vice president, not the speaker, presides over counting of electoral college votes; and whomever is chosen as speaker in Oct. 2023 will only be speaker during the 1/6/25 electoral count if House Rs retain majority in Nov. 2024.’”
This was a bold move by Elon Musk, who almost certainly will draw scorn from the liberal media for questioning the truthfulness of Adam Schiff.
But Musk has proven repeatedly that he does not care how much the media criticizes him, and he is going to do what he wants regardless of what they say.
Now Schiff has to face the embarrassment of Elon Musk demonstrating for the entire world that he blatantly lied about Jim Jordan and is untrustworthy.
Maybe Schiff will be an example to other liberal politicians who want to use Musk’s platform to spread false information to smear Republicans.
