Alina Habba has ascended to a position of high power.
Donald Trump has rewarded her for her loyal service.
And now she will have a position of authority over millions of people.
Before Donald Trump was indicted in multiple states, few people around the country knew who Alina Habba was, but she quickly rose to fame through her defense of Trump.
She gained a reputation among conservatives as a sharp and effective lawyer who fought hard for her client and pushed back against what the other side was saying about him.
Now that Trump has avoided the worst possible outcomes from his prosecutions and is back in the Oval Office, Habba is being rewarded for her work.
Trump has decided to name her as the interim U.S. Attorney for the state of New Jersey.
While this isn’t a high-profile position, it’s an incredibly powerful one as she will be the chief law enforcement officer for her jurisdiction.
According to Breitbart, “President Donald Trump has elevated Counselor to the President, Alina Habba, to serve as interim U.S. attorney for the District of New Jersey.”
“Trump took to Truth Social to announce the move noting John Giordano, who was serving as the interim U.S. attorney for the district, is being nominated to be the U.S. ambassador to Namibia.”
Habba certainly must be happy that she isn’t being sent to Namibia, although New Jersey isn’t exactly Bermuda either.
She will have far more authority and power than the ambassador to Namibia will have, and it will set her up for far bigger things down the road.
Here is what Trump had to say: “It is with great pleasure that I am announcing Alina Habba, Esq., who is currently serving as Counselor to the President, and has represented me for a long time, will be our interim U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, her Home State, effective immediately!”
“Alina will lead with the same diligence and conviction that has defined her career, and she will fight tirelessly to secure a Legal System that is both ‘Fair and Just’ for the wonderful people of New Jersey.”
“Additionally, John Giordano, who has done a terrific job as the interim U.S. Attorney in New Jersey, will now be nominated as the new Ambassador to Namibia!”
