Republicans are turning their backs on Donald Trump.
They are abandoning the party and helping Joe Biden.
And 11 top Republicans just did a favor for Biden that will have people outraged.
Some Republicans are extremely skittish about taking strong conservative positions in the fears that they will be attacked and lose their seats.
This is because the media is so far to the left that Republicans who fight for their conservative values will always be the target of criticism, while the same cannot be said for progressives.
While many GOP politicians have developed a thick skin to these attacks and are not perturbed by them, others are much more afraid.
That’s why when the topic of impeaching Joe Biden came up, a number of Republicans cowered from it, even though the evidence in favor of impeaching him was overwhelming.
These politicians surely knew that, but they also knew that if they voted to impeach Biden the media would attack them, and that seemed like a scary proposition.
Now, these leading Republicans have gone against their colleagues and refused to help impeach Joe Biden, despite his many misdeeds.
According to Axios, “House Republicans are furious about being forced into a last-minute Biden impeachment vote — which they say could hurt their campaigns, top GOP sources tell Axios.”
“Even leadership doesn’t want it. But just one member can force a vote.”
“Watch hardliners — Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) or Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) — as most likely to pull the trigger, sources tell Axios.”
These so-called “hardliners” are willing to pull the trigger because the House GOP recently came back with a report showing that Joe Biden had committed impeachable offenses.
If that’s the case, there is no good reason not to impeach him.
The article continues, “Top House Republicans were prepared to let the Biden impeachment inquiry end with the report that came out last week.”
“With Congress stuck in D.C. next month to hammer out a short-term funding deal, there’s plenty of time for an enterprising Republican to force the issue.”
“Just last month, GOP leaders failed to stop Luna from forcing a vote on fining Attorney General Merrick Garland. The Garland vote failed on the House floor.”
“Expect the same from an impeachment vote, Republicans overwhelmingly tell Axios.”
“11 House Republicans are defending ‘toss-up’ seats in the Cook Political Report rankings. Another eight have ‘lean Republican’ seats.”
The fact that Republicans are so nervous about their elections instead of simply doing what is right for the country shows just how weak-kneed many people in the Republican Party are.
They are hard-wired to never rock the boat and to always do the bare minimum to get re-elected without making anyone in the media angry or drawing any attacks on themselves.
That is simply not enough anymore, and Republicans are going to have to accept the fact that the media will attack them when they do the right thing.
