There is widespread shock as one Republican abandoned his party.
He switched sides in a move of complete betrayal.
And as a parting blow, he publicly declared his loyalty to Hillary Clinton.
Many Republicans in recent years have been exposed as not truly being loyal to the conservative cause.
This happened to Bill Kristol, one of the most prominent “neoconservatives,” who was so committed to starting wars in foreign countries that he became frustrated by the Republican Party’s turn away from an aggressive foreign policy and became a Democrat.
In doing so, he adopted Democrat positions on nearly every issue, even issues like abortion that have nothing to do with foreign policy.
This has even happened with ordinary voters. One of them is a businessman from Virginia named “Texas Trey” who owns a restaurant.
CNN managed to find him and bring him on their network to talk about his turn against the Republican Party, even though he allegedly had been a lifelong Republican.
And his words created a serious buzz online among left-wing political publications.
Here is what the Huffington Post said about Texas Trey: “A lifelong Republican voter told CNN’s Laura Coates on Wednesday that former Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton was ‘absolutely right’ when it came to her comments about her Republican 2016 presidential election rival Donald Trump.”
The fact that he is now such a big fan of Hillary Clinton reveals the fact that his conservative principles must not have ever been very strong to begin with.
After all, no one epitomizes the establishment left more than Hillary Clinton, and her agenda goes against everything conservatives believe in.
The article continues, “Texas Trey recalled voting for Trump in 2016 not ‘so much in support of him’ but against Clinton because ‘she didn’t have anything to offer that really appealed to me.’”
“Trey said he felt the election was ‘hers to lose’ and admitted to being ‘very shocked’ when Trump won.”
It’s clear that he was disappointed when Clinton lost, which takes credibility away from his claim to be a “lifelong Republican.”
Here is what Trey went on to say about Hillary Clinton: “And I already know she was absolutely right, she was absolutely right about everything that she said, although I didn’t necessarily pay too much attention to the things she said.”
So not only does he think that she was right about Trump, he now believes that she was right about “everything that she said.”
This apparently includes her radical positions in favor of abortion up until the moment of birth, her support of open borders, her belief in eliminating the Electoral College, getting rid of gun rights, and her infamous “what difference does it make” statement about Benghazi.
All of those things that Hillary Clinton has said, Texas Trey apparently fully signs on to.
Clearly the people who never really believed in conservative ideas are being weeded out of the Republican Party, and CNN is more than happy to scoop them up and put them on air.
