The Left’s assault on America has reached a new low.
Already, schools and corporations across America are being exposed to Critical Race Theory.
And now, the Left is working to impose it on the US Military as well.
The unspoken rule for Left-wing politics for the past few years has been to impose its radical agenda on as many American institutions as possible.
The most visible fights have been at corporate and school boards across the country, as Left-wing activists pressure schools and businesses to implement Critical Race Theory in the classroom and on Wall Street.
But now, a new report shows that Critical Race Theory is targeting even the US Military, as the Left seeks to impose this racial ideology on one of the last politically neutral institutions in America.
The Washington Times reports, “The Pentagon was dragged deeper into the political fray Wednesday as the military’s top uniformed officer faced repeated questions about his view on ‘White rage.’”
“At what was supposed to be a routine Pentagon press conference, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark A. Milley and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin tried to steer clear of controversial topics and focus instead on U.S. military support for the Afghan government, the secretary’s upcoming trip to Southeast Asia and other matters.
But partisan battles and cultural fights over issues such as critical race theory largely consumed the discussion, offering further evidence of what analysts say is a new reality: “The Pentagon can’t escape partisan politics, no matter how hard its leaders try.”
For years, the United States Armed Forces has been one of the last remaining American institutions that the general public held in trust.
Wall Street, Hollywood, the Media, Academia, and Congress have all seem their approval and trust ratings plummet. But the military has always remained one of the institutions that most Americans trusted to do the right thing and to uphold the Constitution.
But now, even the military is now exempt from the Left’s desire to impose its political agenda on every aspect of America.
“That evidence was on full display Wednesday as Gen. Milley was pressed about his use of the term “White rage” as partial motivation for the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. Since then, Gen. Milley has faced stiff criticism for seeming to suggest a direct racial connection to the events of Jan. 6. He made the comments against the backdrop of a growing debate in Washington over whether military leadership is lurching to the political left, targeting service members and officers with conservative views and embracing controversial doctrines such as critical race theory,” adds the Washington Times.
For his part, Trump himself has even called out General Milley, stating in a recent press release that the general “choked like a dog” in the face of political pressure from Left-wing media outlets, and accusing the general of now working to present himself as “woke” in order to appease Democrats in Congress and the White House.
The recent battle over what role, if any, the military should play in promoting Critical Race Theory comes at a time when conservatives in Congress have called out the Pentagon for producing a recruitment video that many say leans too far into the “woke” ideology, with a lambasted advertisement featuring a lesbian wedding and a gay pride parade.
“Indeed, some high-profile conservatives say recent Army recruiting commercials portray weakness and focus too much on diversity and inclusion at the expense of lethality and toughness,” adds the Washington Times.
“Critical race theory is not something [the Defense Department] teaches, professes, embraces,” said Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. “You’ve also heard a couple of people at academic institutions say they have required this to be reading for their students in specific courses. But because that’s the case does not mean this department embraces this theory.”
The military is widely regarded to be one of the most conservative-leaning institutions in America, with estimates suggesting that most active-duty servicemembers voting around 2-1 for conservative candidates in state and federal elections.
This historically strong conservative, yet non-partisan lean, could explain why the military has begun to be targeted by Critical Race Theory, as it is one of the last American institutions that has not been largely co-oped by the Left.
