The COVID mob is finally having to face the music for the damage they caused.
They shut down schools nationwide and ruined the education of millions of kids.
But CNN was stunned when one of their pundits shredded Biden’s top union hack for shutting down schools.
Randi Weingarten is the head of the American Federation of Teachers, and a progressive lunatic. She uses her position to advocate for more left-wing propaganda in schools.
During COVID, however, she went one step further. She decided to use her union to bully schools into shutting down.
The reason she did this is that a small, but extremely vocal, minority of teachers were terrified of going into school during COVID.
This was understandable when the virus first began to spread, but once it became clear that children were not serious transmitters of the virus, it became ridiculous.
Most teachers thought the school closures were ridiculous. And of course, parents were furious about it. After all, their kids were the ones being hurt.
But Weingarten’s union doesn’t actually try to represent most of their members. They exist to represent left-wing activists and push their agenda.
And those activists wanted schools to be closed.
Recently Weingarten has been coming under serious criticism for the school closures that she pushed for during the pandemic.
The reason this has been getting so much attention is that it’s becoming clearer how much damage was actually done to children from the learning they missed out on.
Weingarten went on CNN, thinking it would be a friendly place where she could get a softball interview and defend herself.
But that’s not how it went at all.
According to the New York Post, “CNN political commentator Scott Jennings accused American Federation of Teachers union boss Randi Weingarten of having ‘no remorse’ for the damage done by lengthy pandemic-era school closures during a heated discussion Thursday night.
“Jennings pilloried Weingarten, an influential union leader and Biden administration ally, a day after she defended her involvement in the controversial school lockdowns during a contentious hearing on Capitol Hill.”
Here is what Jennings had to say: “We don’t know each other, but speaking on behalf of millions of American parents – I have four at home, I had to teach them at home, my wife had to teach them at home – I am stunned at what you have said this week about your claiming to have wanted to reopen schools.”
He then went on to explain how difficult it was for his kids.
“I have two kids with learning differences. Do you know how hard it is for them to learn at home and not in a classroom that was designed for them?
“I am shocked, I am stunned. And there are millions of parents who feel the exact same way.”
Jennings had the chance to say to Weingarten exactly what many parents have always wanted to say.
She ruined the lives of millions of children, and finally she is being held accountable like she truly deserves.
