It’s getting personal for Barack Obama.
He wants to get back at Donald Trump and he’s willing to do whatever it takes.
And one report just exposed what Obama is doing to settle the scores with Trump.
Barack Obama has disliked Donald Trump for a long time, ever since the whole “birther” controversy and Trump’s criticisms of him during his presidency.
Obama never took Trump seriously, however, and certainly didn’t think he would actually go on to win the presidency in 2016, as he ultimately did to Obama’s surprise.
Now, Obama is embroiled in a bitter personal feud with Trump and wants to exact his revenge on the former president.
He wants to use his public platform, and his extensive political network, to smear Trump in order to send a message to him.
Apparently, Obama’s issues with Trump go well beyond the political sphere and the major differences they have with each other on a number of political issues.
It is highly personal for Barack Obama, and he feels that he has a score to settle with the man who is the current Republican nominee for President of the United States.
According to Axios, “For Barack Obama, stopping Donald Trump is both political and personal.”
“In 2020 and now in 2024, Obama has been a quiet — but forceful — hand in determining the Democratic presidential nominee and assembling the campaign teams he believes are needed to keep Trump from the White House.”
“Obama is motivated by his deep concern about Trump’s temperament and policies, but also by a personal animus that began in 2011, when Trump aggressively promoted the “birther” conspiracy theory — the false idea that Obama hadn’t been born in the U.S., and therefore wasn’t eligible to be president.”
He did not hesitate to use his platform at the Democratic National Convention to attack Trump very harshly saying: “Here is a 78-year-old billionaire who hasn’t stopped whining about his problems since he rode down his golden escalator nine years ago.”
His wife, Michelle, tried to say that Trump is a racist, saying: “His limited and narrow view of the world made him feel threatened by the existence of two hardworking, highly educated, successful people who also happened to be Black.”
Obama is even frustrated that the Constitution didn’t allow him to serve as president for life.
The article continues, “After Trump’s victory in 2016, Obama was frustrated and believed he could have beaten Trump if the Constitution would have allowed him to seek a third term.”
Thankfully, presidents cannot serve for 3 terms or longer, and having Obama in office for that long would have been disastrous.
Now, he’s relegated to settling scores that should have been over years ago.
Donald Trump probably doesn’t spend much time thinking about Barack Obama, but it appears that Obama still thinks about him.
