Anthony Fauci’s political recklessness is coming back to haunt him.
Yet, he’s still pushing for tyrannical measures to combat COVID.
And now, Fauci just crossed a major red line with one shocking move.
Anthony Fauci’s career is on the rocks after Rand Paul exposed him for misleading the country about COVID for nearly two years straight.
Fauci’s reputation has collapsed across the board as a result.
But now, the politically-charged doctor is playing with fire after he endorsed yet another potential nationwide lockdown in the wake of a new COVID variant spreading across the world.
With the emergence of the Omicron variant in South Africa, politicians and bureaucrats alike are using the latest new version of COVID to justify even more sweeping political powers, lockdowns, mandates, and fines on nations around the world.
And the United States is no exception.
Now, Fauci is openly floating the idea of another lockdown similar to the kinds which crippled the United States in 2020, tanking the economy and throwing millions of Americans off their jobs in the process.
Reuters reports, “The United States’ top infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, said on Sunday that Americans should be prepared to do “anything and everything” to fight the spread of the new COVID-19 variant Omicron.”
When pressed on whether or not that means accepting another round of nationwide lockdowns, Fauci said that it’s “too early to tell.”
That may be true for him, but for tens of millions of Americans, it’s very clear that they’re unwilling to go through another round of government-imposed tyranny.
Fauci may be choosing to ignore this fact, but that doesn’t mean he has the power to shut down people’s businesses and schools across the country in a repeat of the draconian lockdown measures of last year.
And with public confidence in Fauci collapsing as he increasingly shows himself to be a political hack for the Democratic Party, it’s no surprise that Fauci’s attempt to open the door to another lockdown will be met with fierce resistance from conservatives.
Just over a month ago, a Hill-HarrisX poll showed that a majority of Americans think Fauci should resign from his post, with an overwhelming 75% of Republicans saying it’s time for Fauci to go.
Across all demographics, the poll showed that 52% of Americans think that Fauci should be fired.
With Fauci now demanding that he “represents science” and that any attack on him or his views constitutes an “attack on science”, it’s little surprise that so many Republicans are now calling for his resignation.
This, combined with Fauci’s constant feuding with Senator Rand Paul over the origins of the COVID virus and his misleading statements throughout 2020 and early 2021 regarding the Federal response to the pandemic, has resulted in Fauci intentionally aligning himself with the left, turning him from a unifying figure into a politically polarizing one.
And now that Fauci is suggesting that Americans should be prepared to accept another lockdown, there’s good reason to believe that public faith in him will only continue to fall.
