Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made a bad decision that will get her in a lot of trouble.
One video went viral and she was caught attacking police officers.
Now she will have to face the consequences for her actions.
Left-wingers have hated the police for years, but it’s been especially true ever since the BLM riots in 2020.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her fellow Squad members have made their views on cops known, and it’s not endeared them to people who want law-and-order.
Now she’s launched yet another attack on the police, and it comes after one video went viral that Ocasio-Cortez wasn’t happy about.
During the COVID pandemic, several nurses at various hospitals started a trend of themselves performing dance routines and sharing it on social media.
While it caused a lot of controversy, people on the left defended those nurses.
But now that female police officers in New York are doing a similar trend, the tables have turned and Ocasio-Cortez is furious about it.
Ocasio-Cortez attacked the police department for their videos but the reaction from her constituents wasn’t what she expected.
According to the New York Post, “Lefty Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is getting bashed for lashing out at a recent TV performance by the NYPD’s dance team — with foes saying her criticism only highlights the failures of her own party.”
“The Democratic congresswoman from New York City — who supported the ‘Defund the police’ movement — was among those to take aim at the police department after its dance troupe performed on PIX11 late last week.”
“‘How many school music programs got defunded for this,’ Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) tweeted Monday alongside a clip of the female cop dance group — which is not funded by taxpayer money.”
The dance group isn’t funded by taxpayer money, so what’s the problem?
“One person responded to AOC’s tweet about cut school programs by saying, ‘Probably none bc they were already defunded,’” the New York Post continued.
“Another poster to X said, ‘How many people in your district are getting screwed over by the migrant invasion?’”
“Someone also asked, ‘How many school music programs could we fund if we got rid of useless, harmful politicians like you?’”
It’s clear the reaction to Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet was a lot more sour grapes than she expected.
Now she may have alienated a huge chunk of voters in New York who want their city to be safe and aren’t impressed with her leadership.
And this could have significant consequences as she runs for re-election.
