Biden and the Democrats just keeping digging our country’s hole even deeper.
They are totally irresponsible and incapable of successfully running the country.
And now, one of Biden’s closest allies just made dangerous comments that could put the world at risk.
Chris Coons is a Senator from Delaware, which is Joe Biden’s home state. As such, him and Biden are extremely close and are considered strong allies.
It’s safe to say that when Coons speaks, there’s a good chance the words that he’s saying reflect what Biden believes as well.
That’s why the comments he made this week are so frightening and dangerous.
Coons said, “We are in a very dangerous moment where it is important that, in a bipartisan and measured way, we in Congress and the administration come to a common position about when we are willing to go to the next step and send not just arms but troops to the aid in defense of Ukraine.”
Coons is the first U.S. Senator to directly call for the U.S. to declare war on Russia and send troops to fight them on the battlefield.
These reckless comments from Coons come at a very dangerous time in the war in Ukraine.
According to a report from Yahoo, “Some Kremlin insiders have been surreptitiously expressing concerns about the mounting costs of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the possibility that Russian President Vladimir Putin could order the use of nuclear weapons to achieve his war goals.”
Putin is considering nuclear use, and Coons’s solution is to escalate the conflict even further?
Russia has already failed at its maximalist war aims, and they have effectively conceded that already.
That’s why they withdrew their troops from Kiev and other major cities in northern Ukraine, although they are still hitting those cities with artillery fire in an attempt to squeeze the Ukrainian government.
Now they are focusing solely on trying to capture territory in eastern Ukraine, on the border of Russia, in the region known as the Donbas.
The United States should look at that situation and view it as a success. If Putin thought he was going to rebuild the former Soviet Union, that goal has fallen apart completely. He does not have the military capacity to accomplish anything close to that.
That’s not to say the U.S. should wash its hands of the situation completely – just stay the course. There is no reason to escalate. The strategy to this point has worked.
But that’s not what Coons has in mind – and apparently Biden as well.
Biden has a long and sordid history of making bad foreign policy decisions. He voted in favor of the war in Iraq and supported the war in Libya – both of which turned out to be disasters.
When he pulled out of Afghanistan, he failed to evacuate U.S. personnel, because he naively thought that the sham government the U.S. had propped up there would hold up.
America, and the rest of the world, should hope that Biden doesn’t make a critical mistake here, because the stakes are immeasurably higher.
