The story of the second Trump assassination attempt is not yet over.
Shocking new information is being released about what went down.
And one new report about what the assassin really did will chill you to the bone.
Ryan Routh, the man who tried to assassinate Trump, is clearly someone who had a dangerous obsession with politics that consumed everything in his life.
Sadly, more and more people in our society have become so obsessed with politics that it completely takes over their life and becomes their whole personality.
This happens to people on both sides of the aisle, and it is apparently what happened with Routh, as his hatred for Trump kept getting deeper and darker.
He was unable to keep politics in perspective, nor was he able to make rational decisions in his life, as his political obsession controlled everything he did.
Ultimately, it led to him attempting to murder the man who he thought of as his biggest political “enemy,” and now he will spend significant time in prison for it.
And his sad story should serve as a lesson to people about the danger of letting cable news and social media political outrage dictate one’s life decisions.
According to an article from the Associated Press, “Ryan Wesley Routh portrayed himself online as a man who built housing for homeless people in Hawaii, tried to recruit fighters for Ukraine to defend itself against Russia, and described his support and then disdain for Donald Trump — even urging Iran to kill him.”
Routh went so far down the rabbit hole of his hatred of Trump that he actually tried to recruit a hostile foreign government to kill him.
This is obviously an insane thing to do, but in his narrow-minded world of obsession, it made perfect sense to him – which shows just how easy it is for people to slip into a mindset like Routh had.
The article continues, “‘You are free to assassinate Trump,’ Routh wrote of Iran in an apparently self-published book in 2023, ‘Ukraine’s Unwinnable War,’ which described the former president as a ‘fool’ and ‘buffoon’ for both the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot and the ‘tremendous blunder’ of leaving the Iran nuclear deal.”
“Routh, 58, was arrested Sunday after authorities say he stalked the GOP presidential nominee as he golfed in West Palm Beach, Florida, with an SKS-style rifle in an apparent assassination attempt thwarted by the Secret Service.”
Hopefully people who are headed down a similar path will hear this scary story about Ryan Routh and realize that they are losing themselves and becoming the very thing that they hate.
Politics is an important thing in society, but it can become addictive, and when people become addicted to it as Routh did, dangerous things can occur.
People should not ignore politics, but keep it in its proper place, otherwise they run the risk of being consumed by hatred.
And in extreme circumstances, like in the case of Ryan Routh, that hatred can lead to deadly action.
