No one could believe what was unfolding on live television.
Bernie Sanders made a dramatic move that had Democrats in shock.
And he betrayed Kamala Harris in the most unbelievable way possible.
Bernie Sanders has always been a bit of a wild card. He’s perhaps the most left-wing member of the Senate.
In fact, he’s actually too far left on economics even for the Democrat Party – something that’s pretty difficult to pull off in this day and age.
But he has continued to be a rogue socialist in the Senate, and Kamala Harris is finding that out the hard way.
Sanders doesn’t like the idea of corporations trying to bring cheap labor across the border.
And he’s seen how Kamala Harris and Joe Biden’s immigration policies promote that and he doesn’t like it.
“Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said Sunday on ABC’s ‘This Week’ that the United States has a ‘crisis at the border’ that needed to be addressed by immigration reform,” Breitbart reports.
Host Jonathan Karl asked Sanders, “On immigration, when Harris ran for the Democratic nomination against you and others in 2020, she said she favored decriminalizing illegal border crossing. She even suggested she would be in favor of abolishing ICE. Now, of course, she’s taking, at least rhetorically, a much tougher line on border security. What do you think of her transformation on this issue?”
Most Democrats at this point would’ve given some rhetorical talking point about how the border is actually “secure” and Republicans are “lying.”
But Sanders had no time for that.
“We have a crisis at the border. We’ve got to make sure that fentanyl does not get into this country,” Sanders stated.
This is the last thing Kamala Harris wants to hear at this stage of the campaign.
The fact there is a crisis at the border falls directly on her shoulders and it’s every bit as bad as Sanders claims it is.
Harris will have to answer serious questions about her failure as Biden’s border czar.
Even someone as far left as Bernie Sanders can see the border is still wide open.
And Americans are going to want their next president to fix that, not to avoid the problem and pretend it isn’t there.
