A Democrat official has committed an unspeakable act.
One journalist had the courage to expose him.
But this Democrat is in big trouble after what he did to the reporter as revenge.
There is a huge double standard when it comes to Democrats and Republicans and how their scandals are treated.
When a Republican does something that is wrong and bad, it immediately becomes the scandal of the century.
When a Democrat does something wrong and bad, it conveniently gets buried on the last page of the papers, and swept under the rug.
Of course, the solution to that isn’t for Republicans to do more bad things – the solution is to expose the bad things that Democrats do and highlight the double standard.
And in Las Vegas, one Democrat has done something so terrible, it goes beyond the normal political scandals that we are all accustomed to.
According to KCRA News, “A Las Vegas-area elected public official was arrested Wednesday as the suspect in the fatal stabbing of a veteran newspaper reporter whose investigations of the official’s work preceded his primary loss in June.”
“Clark County Public Administrator Robert ‘Rob’ Telles, a Democrat, was taken into custody at his home by police SWAT officers hours after investigators served a search warrant and confiscated vehicles in the criminal probe of the killing of Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German, Sheriff Joe Lombardo told the newspaper.”
Telles had a long history of being an abusive boss and an all-around bad guy, and German exposed all of that in a series of articles about him.
The report continues, “Telles, 45, had been a focus of German’s reporting about turmoil including complaints of administrative bullying, favoritism and Telles’ relationship with a subordinate staffer in the county office that handles property of people who die without a will or family contacts.”
So, he was bullying his employees and sleeping with his staffers, and he was mad about German exposing these inconvenient truths, so he murdered him.
Fortunately, the criminal justice system is working the way it’s supposed to, and Telles is not above the law. He is now in jail and awaiting prosecution for his crimes.
But even as the criminal justice system handles his case, the bureaucracy is ensuring that he continues to get paid by the taxpayers.
You see, Public Administrator is a major position in a municipal government, and Telles was paid handsomely for his role.
And according to the New York Post, “As he waits behind bars, a county leader said, Telles will keep getting paid.”
And while the story about Telles’ murder has been covered extensively by local media, it has barely made a ripple in the national press.
That shows how eager the national press is to cover for Democrats – they are more committed to their partisan agenda than they are to covering the story about one of their fellow journalists who was literally murdered.
Telles will likely be held accountable for his crimes, but his story shows how much work has to be done to level the playing field when it comes to the coverage of political scandals.
