Ron DeSantis has been the target of smear campaigns since the day he became governor of Florida.
And when he refused to lock down his state, it got even worse.
But DeSantis is the master of punching back, and now he has embarrassed the liberal press once again.
Ron DeSantis recently made a very obvious, and scientifically correct, point: COVID is seasonal, and it spikes in different states depending on the weather.
For example, Florida is a very hot state, which means that during the summer, people tend to gather inside to escape the heat.
When people are inside, they are more likely to spread germs. Therefore, COVID tends to spike during the summer months in Florida.
Since the liberal press can’t help themselves, they had to attack DeSantis for making this glaringly obvious point.
The Washington Post published an article entitled “DeSantis blames Florida’s surge on ‘covid season.’ That’s misleading, experts say.”
The article, which was intended to scare people into wearing masks, wrongly asserted that “the claim that the time of year has a greater impact on transmission than mitigation measures such as mask mandates and social distancing contradicts guidance from researchers and public health experts.”
But now, to no one’s surprise, DeSantis has won and the media has lost.
The Washington Post has now published a new article entitled “Covid-19 may have seasons for different temperature zones, study suggests.”
The articles states that “colder regions, such as the U.S. Northeast, may experience more cases during winter, while warmer regions, such as the southern United States, may see higher transmissions in the summer. More-temperate zones could experience two seasonal peaks.”
This is stupidly obvious to everyone except blind partisan ideologues.
You see, people who are partisan ideologues and are blindly attached to one party have a tendency to ignore any facts that contradict their party’s narrative.
The media is like that with the Democratic Party, which means that they hate Ron DeSantis, who has been their most effective enemy over the past two years.
In fact, the media seems to hate DeSantis now even more than they hate Trump, who recently went on a media tour promoting the vaccine.
As Matt Vespa said at TownHall.com in response to this story, “For every liberal swipe, DeSantis takes it in stride. He dodges the hits, returns fire, and waits. Why? Well, because his initial point about anything is eventually proven to be correct. Trump owned the liberal media. DeSantis might be better.”
The media has been responsible for nearly all of the damage that American freedom has sustained over the past 20 years.
They wholeheartedly supported the Patriot Act when it passed almost unanimously in 2001.
They spread Iraq War propaganda, claiming that Iraq had something to do with 9/11 which was proven laughably false.
They supported Obama as he took over the U.S. health care system and passed Obamacare.
And they spread COVID fear and misinformation to a public that was already scared and panicked.
America needs a President who can effectively push back against their lies and defend freedom. So far, Ron DeSantis has been nothing short of a hero at doing just that.
