Joe Rogan provides one of the largest alternative news sources in America.
And he’s been the prime target of most of the corporate media for years.
Now, he’s fighting back with one move no one expected.
Joe Rogan has amassed a following of millions of people who regularly tune into his podcast to get real, authentic news from ordinary people who aren’t bought and paid for by the corporate media.
And for that, he’s been lambasted by much of the liberal press, with CNN even going so far as to spread outright lies about him last year when Rogan caught COVID.
But now, Rogan is fighting back, and he’s taking a major shot at the mainstream media that no one saw coming.
Fox News reports, “Podcast titan Joe Rogan opened a GETTR account Sunday and encouraged 7.8 million Twitter followers to join him on the alternative social media app.”
“Just in case sh-t over at Twitter gets even dumber, I’m here now as well,” Rogan wrote on GETTR. “Rejoice!”
The move comes at a time when Twitter continues to censor anyone who speaks out against the “party line,” which is increasingly associated with left-wing Democrats and their allies in the Deep State and on Wall Street.
But unlike many others who lack any sort of means to push back against Twitter’s ruthless actions in punishing conservative and non-left wing news sources, Rogan has millions of fans and the financial resources to draw other viewers away from Twitter.
“Rogan’s move to GETTR came on the same day that Twitter permanently banned the personal account of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., for spreading what the social media company deemed COVID-19 ‘misinformation,’” adds Fox News.
The move marks a new stage in the growing polarization of social media, as conservatives, libertarians, and independents increasingly find themselves fed up with Twitter’s heavy-handed actions and slanted policy enforcement record.
“Last week, Twitter also banned Dr. Robert Malone days before he appeared on Rogan’s podcast to discuss the government response to the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccines. Malone, a contributor to mRNA vaccine technology, also opened a GETTR account,” adds Fox News.
And now, Rogan is fighting back in a major way. By quitting Twitter, Rogan could be opening the flood gates for others to desert the site as well, especially in light of many other prominent figures having been booted from the website, including President Donald Trump, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, and others.
For years, Twitter and Facebook have held an iron grip over social media in America, but their clear bias against anyone who isn’t on the Left has led to that grip weakening over the past year.
And now, it’s no longer just Republican politicians who are speaking out against the companies.
With Rogan now quitting Twitter as well, it could be just a matter of time until a mass exodus event occurs for the social media giant, which would bring in much-needed competition among social media companies to respect differing political views.
